You're kinda hooped. You need either a demi-human (elf, dwarf, gnome, etc.) with an inate ability to detect secret doors or a theif or monk with detect traps.

Very werid, are you sure your at the right place?
If you are, I recommand going to bed, and download shadowkeeper the next day and just edit in the flailhead (or the entire flail)

(may contain spoilers) well if u're dying to have the flailshead and you don't mind cheating yourself into what's rightfully yours you can always add the debug mode line into your balder.ini file and after using the command line to remove the fog of war you can teletransport yourself into the area, otherwise shadowkeeper ... however,
(anyway did you find the secret doors downstairs leading to the forge? because that would make it quite strange ...)

SPOILER :

have you already finished the whole quest ? cuz if u have before going into the guardian room you can lose some pretty nice items which can only be collected if u havent killed torgal the leader troll down in the basement. but luckily for you the flail head remains ... but i'd strongly suggest picking up the weapons before finishing torgal off downstairs because it definitaly contains some pretty nice range of weaponry and such) anyway either way you go, good luck!

Small Spoiler

The irony there is that you need a +3 weapon to hit the Iron
Golem. The fully assembled Flail of Ages works well for this. Also works on the Clay Golem. I usually leave those two Golems until after I have it fully assembled.

Irongolems do count as giants dont they? That is actually kinda bad cous it isnt a giant, it is a golem... but then again an irongolem is kinda big so maybe it counts as a giant, but it is still a golem...

Waxing technical...

Golems do not count as "giants", on account of not being giants.
However, weapons which have a special bonus against a particular monster-type (eg. the +4 vs Giantkin) do qualify for the "requires +n to hit" vs any monster.

So that wee hammer can be pretty useful & is not to be discarded lightly...

Of course, the proper solution is to -
a) assemble the full FoA.
b) get more sleep.

(hmmm... thinks... what am I doing awake at this hour...)
