Favorite, least favorite allies

Post by fireal »

I would have set up a poll, but I'm ignorant, so I'll just ask.

Who is everyone's favorite/least favorite squad member?

Along with Bastila, I would have to go with the old man(Jolee). His dialog was a little generic at first, but as you got to know him, he had some interesting things to say. Good force user, too.

With Carth and Mission I felt at times more like a therapist than a freind. It seemed like they needed the most attention. Ability wise, both were eventually replaced.

Jolee's great, perhaps the best even.

Juhani was a letdown to me, because of her near-Episode I do-gooder childish opinions after she had been saved. Yoda said "Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny", but she seems to do just fine (and it's just not very believable).

Canderous, even if predictable, was enjoyable and his uncertainty after completing his side quest was somehow upbringing.

I also loved HK-47's dialogue. Example: when appoched by Iziz the Jawa, you ask HK what the Jawa is saying, and he replies something along the lines of 98% probability that Iziz wants to propose a deal; when you ask about the other 2% he says of a 2% probability that Iziz is threatening you and you should just blast him, then adds "But that could just be wishful thinking on my part, master" :D . Predictable, yet very well written and funny.

The first conversation with T3M4 was great as well, but other than that, nothing interesting came out of him.

Carth wasn't bad in hiding his reasons behind his mistrust, but once his quest was triggered, he became too pure and just boring.

Mission I didn't like too much, and Zaalbar wasn't great either (could've had some more dialogue after Kashyyyk).

Like Jolee, I appreciated Juhani more as I got deeper into her story.

I never found Canderous's sidequest, but I will have to try harder next time around.

All in all, I thought they were all pretty good.

Probably Jolee, I couldn't get enough of his dialog. Cynical old codger. HK-47 was great, too. I agree that Juhani's background seemed a bit contrived.

HK-47 is great. He's like C-3PO and Bender rolled into one.

I liked Jolee and Canderous, too.

Carth was my least favorite, followed closely by Juhani. I liked Mission's personality, but not her side quest.

i prefer force user. much more options when fighting. least favour would be T3 ....droids basically. maybe can try getting the bardawin flame thrower and stunner. btw, which script will make them use it as often as they can?...

THEN, maybe they will move up my favourite list.

I realy like the dialoge of HK, and I just found out the power of blasters (in all forms and sizes) in my latest game.

I also like T3 dont know why. He's good for racing around i guess.

I REALY dont like Carth, although hes a very powerfull NPC he's just an annoying pest.

And before I forget Canderous his warstories rock!
(I want a basselisk battledroid!)

I like HK, because he's just so damn funny.

I like Zaalbar the least, but I don't like hairy creatures anyway.

Jep, Zaalbar is rather boring. No cool conversations, no armor, no headgear.

But still a very powerfull NPC!
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

I tend to use Bastila and Juhani the most - 3 force users can take down just about anything if you set them up right...

HK-47 is my favorite non-jedi character, because his dialogue is so funny, and he's a good shot.

Jolee gets on my nads something chronic. I only used him when the game made me, or when I needed someone to help deal with lots of droids.
I like the weee Artoo style droid, hes kinda cute and looks cool, but I only used him when I needed someone to hack a computer.
I stopped using Mission quite early, and only dragged the whiny wee niaf out of her quarters to do the mission to deal with her brother.
Carths a bit of a whiner as well, but hes a decent shot and is good for backup (but so are Canderous and HK-47).
I only use Zaalbar on Kashykk, or if I need a demolitions expert to retrieve mines so I can flog em.

loved HK but loved Canderous also. no force powers but great dilogue. and handy in a scrap too. give HK the biggest gun you can find and give Canderous the best swords you can lay you hands on.

hated juhani, weak and boring, not too fond of carth either. both had boring diologue and just didn't use them much. even when i did they were not as much fun to have around. (tell the truth the first time i played i killed juhani in the grove as she annoyed me, i was the dark master then though.)

I rather like Carth, I know a lot of people don't but his sorta laid back attitude is kinda fun, plus how he can get all paranoid, and he's a really powerful NPC, especially if you level him up right. I mean at the end level, all I had was Jolee myself, and Carth for back up and he did just fine.

I liked Canderous because his mercenary care nothing attitude, and his stories, plus his healing ability and repeating blaster kick major booty. I like the fact that he's a pretty interesting character, hes not the typical villainious evil doer, he's a bit more complex, I mean at the end of the conversation paths he's almost sorry for the life he led.

I like Jolee, because of his funny diaglogue, and because he's a very good fighter, like I said I had him at the last.

I like HK-47 because of his evil nature, because of his rampant psychotic disregard for human life or alien, because of his meatbag references, and because you can upgrade him as time goes on. That said, his diaglogue is a bit limiting, mainly because once you get to the Leviathian, and so on there isn't much more you can find out.

I like Bastila, because she's kickass bi**h on wheels, she's really a good fighter especially with the two bladed lightsaber, plus she's got sex appeal, and her diaglogue isn't to bad, especially if you play with her a bit, teasing her about how she's attracted to you etc.

Out of the rest, I don't have much to say about, I mean they aren't useless, the Wookie, Mission, Juhani, and the droid are very useful, especially if you haven't invested in computer, repair, or stealth skills, the diaglogue choices simply aren't that interesting, I really wish the droid had more diaglogue, I mean he'd be pretty cool otherwise. The other three are good in a spot, but their diaglogue is pretty dull.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a protestant. Then they came for me--but by that time there was no one left to speak up."
