A short moment of searching led me to this:

for Fallout 1.

yea it is a good site, lots of info on weapons and everything. the kind of maps i am looking for is slightly different though. i am looking for one map of a whole town and possably a bit more detailed. although i am gratefull for all the info.
also i am more interested in the maps from fallout 2 as opposed to 1.

Have you considered that the maps you're looking for may not exist?
It sounds like what you want is a miniature version of the whole town like you see it in the main window.
Well, you can make one. go to upper left corner of town, take a screenshot, move right a bit, take a screenshot etc. once you have a bunch of screenshots from a town use an image editor (photoshop if you have it) to reduce the size of each image, now piece them together like a jigsaw puzzle. You'll be left with 1 image of an entire town.

You could considere trying to find strategy guides. They often contain maps of the areas - or rather the one I have, does.
Might be the way to go.
