One of the East Empire Trading Quests involve the discovery of a block of strange ice in the mine. You are told to go searh up some guy and ask him about it and when you find him he should be under attack and you should help him. Well i went to him but there was no attack and he did not want to talk to me. As if this was not enough when i returned to Raven Rock no mention was made of this quest. Instead the plot had advanced to the next quest (something about hiring guards). Anyone know if i can somehow restore the failed quest and has anyone else experienced this problem?

The one doesn't quite work properly, as the attacker (Dunmer assassin, IIRC), usually gets stuck behind a rock. Look around the rocks near the river and kill her. The Nords should talk to you then.
