It's real simple:

Go to the entrance of the sand people territory and try to enter. When the screenshould be the loading screen it goes black. Then the game crashes back to the menu. The interesting thing is that I cannot select anything until I press alt+f4 and select cancel. Then the buttons become active.

Any ideas?

same exact problem for me

I am experiencing the exact same problem in the exact same area. It's really rather aggravating since I can't progress any further that tatooine in the main quest; from what I've heard, the story at the ending is extremely cool. And I'm extremely disappointed that this bug is preventing me from progressing. I reached the impass yesterday, and I'm going to try to see if different graphics or game settings make any difference. I'll post again if i find anything.

Can you use cheats to warp to Sand People's Territory?

[No technical fix, just some spoilers] highlight to read

If not, go directly to the "East Dune Sea," kill the krayt dragon, and go inside. You should see one of the star maps. Touch it and just head off to another planet. Although you lose some experiance points you still can more than make it up later. And yes, the ending is very very perplexing

Hmmm... haven't tried the cheat yet... I'll give it a shot.

On the other solution though, whenever I try to go to the East Dune Sea, I just get some message that says 'you see a strange pattern of rocks with no discernable pattern to an outsider'... or something equally cryptic. Then it spits me back out into the same zone I tried to enter from.

Curious. After a fresh reinstall, I can now enter the Sand People Villiage. Except that everyone in the place is hell-bent on killing me... ah well. I've seen some stuff about that bug... I'll go figure out how to get around it now. At least I can finish the story now...

Might be a video card problem. Oldschoolstyle, what's your video card, and how much memory have you got?

Totally off topic but I've noticed that you can kill the sand creatures and get the moisture vaporatures without HK-47's help(You can also keep the moisture vporatures. I did because when I first came to the planet I just got my hunting lincense and went straight to slaughter those Sand people And I forgot to ask that lady aboutthe moisture vaporatures). Anyways, what I'm trying to say is. Would HK-47 be included as sort of a hidden character because he does not change the adventure and you do not need him to progress.
