Soultrapping Dagoth Ur?

How can I soultrap Dagoth Ur? Because when I hit him with my soultrap on strike sword it says "blablabla did not get a target" or something like that.
Anyway, is there a way to soultrap him?

I Don't think there is, since he's not an animal or creature, he's techicaly an npc. And by definition, you can't soul trap npc heh. I guess it's cause they don't have a soul lol.
But seriously, i don't think you can.

Well, it is possible to soultrap Vivec (isn't it?), and he's an npc too...

They're both creatures. The reason you can't soul trap Dagoth Ur is because his soul value is zero.
