Just looking for opinions here folks.

I've played SoA so many times that parts of it are like a broken record, not that I am complaining (much) but I am now looking for more.

I've D/L'd Kelsey and Chloe mods (looking into new quests) but I am seeking some seriously new terrain to explore. So, with that in mind, what do y'all think is the best add on adventure mod?

Got SoA AND ToB now (not that I ever plan on playing ToB - I tried it once, for about 15 min and got tired of getting killed every time i moved!)

I was thinking about The Darkest Day, and I have something called Neverending Journey... and maybe one more...There really should be a place to learn about the Stories detailed in the Mods y'know?

Still, with so many out there, which one or two (compatable together!) add-on's do ya like best?

For some 'seriously new terrain', I recommend trying ToB for more than 15 minutes, and either refining your strategies, getting help from people here or spoilers, or even cheating.... theres hours of new stuff in there.

ALSO

You have ToB installed now, so feel free to head off to Watchers Keep during the course of your SoA game. Lots of new terrain in there, although its indoors. Head to the South West corner of your world map.

Mods -
Go here

for the biggest mods, and a way of joining them together. Have fun, and also check out the sticky threads in this forum.

Also, get 'Tactics' and do the Ritual Map

Tactics in general will rework most of the battles in the game such that while it may look similar it shouldn't be a 'broken record' as you say. However, if Tob struck you as that difficult it may not be the thing for you.
Solaufein also adds some nice quests and is a good NPC, though again somewhat difficult. Perhaps try to reduce the diifculty slider and try some of these, plus ToB out.

A suggestion - try Baldurs Gate I if you have not yet. I find the low level play to be fun. SOA is by far the better game IMHO because of the NPC interactions - but that should take nothing away from BG - it is a great game in its own right.

I am replaying it now with some NPCs I usually don't take - Its refreshing to fight battles with less than 10 hit points - calls for some extra caution.

The BGI saga including the Tales of the Sword Coast add on can be found for less than $15. Money well spent.

The Big Picture

The mod you're looking for is called "The Big Picture." It has The Darkest Day (which would be 'the one' in terms of new places, it add a LOT) but BP adds two other mods with a few NPCs and such like that. I have not played anything but TDD yet, but I think it will add HOURS of play.

I think what I will do, after some thought, is:

(Spend about a week and) Download/install "Darkest Day"

I have another one called "Neverending Journey"

Maybe "Big Picture" Anymore info on it?

I have Chloe and Kelsey

Oh and I also have ToB now as nothing will work without it.

Dungeon be gone if I need it after I get back from Neverending Journey"

along with a few add ons, tweaks and upgrades designed to add more stuff into the exhisting game.... That ought to keep me busy playing for awhile on top of learning how to make my own NPC's (HIGH on my list of "To Do's" )

Thats the tactics mod.

But, please, just check the Sticky: The BG reference crossroads (NO SPAM) thread.
Especially Icelus his last posts. It contains tons of mods (ordened even!). Just take a look there and find out what mods seem cool/good/great/nice, whatever your taste...
