Questions and Help (spoiler)
i'm not sure how to do the Korgan quest. I did the one with the book of kaza but it's the other one i'm confused about. unknowingly i went to Valygar's house and found his servant and he told me the whole sorry about cowled wizards. later in the game korgan told me i should go to the government district for a quest to boost his reputation. i go there and get the quest but i'm not sure what to do now. i go to the planar sphere and nothing happens. i also went back to valygars house to look and i don't even find the servant. Korgan leaves my party if i don't do some progress on the quest so i need some help expanding the quest.
i also heard that if i keep korgan in my party that he will have a fight with aerie and one of them will leave. is this true cause i really like korgan since he's a really good fighter.
i've been saving all the kinds of gems i've found throughout the game so far. i'm wondering if they have any significance besides selling them.
i also have a question about adamantine golems. i fought one and i can't seem to lay a punch on him. the golem is located in the dungeon in the umar hills when u try to find firkaag. how do i defeat him.
it would be greatly appreciated if anyone can answer any of my questions. i'll be posting more when i can think of more.
thanks.

2. There is a possibility that Korgan and Aerie will fight, because the fight is triggered by the party interaction dialogues which are very random. You can download the Happy Script (from my site) if you want to be sure that they will not fight.
3. Some of the gems can be use to upgrade weapons and other things. Check the items section of the BG2 guide on this site.
4. You need +3 weapons to hit the Adamantine Golem. Since they can't get through doors, you can try trapping them behind a door and attack them with spells and range weapons (if you have any +3 range weapons that is)

And thanks Sabre for the help.
1)i look at other people's posts and always see cheese or spoilers. i'm new in the forums so i'd like to know what they are.
2)i'm also wondering how i get back into irenicus's dungeon because i just read the strategy guide and found out there is a sword of chaos +2 so i'd like to get it. i'm in chpt 2 right now and i was wondering if i can't get back into the dungeon that the air elemental statue is worthless then? should i get rid of it?
3)I also have a question about one of my party members, Minsc. he has a THACO of 1 so does that mean he'll hit every who has a AC of 0 every time he swings? cause he seems to miss sometimes.
4)what is the best class weapon if u have a grandmastery profeciency in all of them? which one will do the most damage?
5) i have this wool pelt are something like that. i looks like a white racoon skin. i'm not sure what to do with that either. sell?
6) i'm trying to make aerie my spellcaster for everything cause i want 4 fighters in my group with a thief and a mage, aerie. i was wondering when i try to learn specific spells sometimes it says that i've learned the maximum spells allowed by my inteligence. is there any way i can bypass this?

1. Spoilers are what you shouldn't know if you haven't played through the part of the game and don't want to spoil the surprise. Cheese is abusing the weaknesses of the game's engine to your advantages, that no sane human DM will allow you anyway. For better definition of cheese, try the search function
2. No, u can't get back to Jon's dungeon after Ch.1, just hack in the sword if you really want it.(I suggest download the shadow keeper for this, you don't have to remember item codes this way)
3. You miss if you roll a natural 1 in the attack roll, and some enemies do have negative AC.
BTW, welcome here firewings95

thanks for the welcoming. i have a few more questions too. i finally figured out the winter wolf pelt thing in question 5. they come when u summon wolfs and when they die these pelts come out. i guess i'll just sell them.
i was wondering about the valygar quest. i get to valygar's cabin in the Umar Hills and dont' know what to do. should i kill him and go back to tolgerias and get a magical ring? should i keep him in my party and go in the planar sphere and lose Korgan forever? if i get valygar, korgan will say he'll lose his reputation so he leaves but i can't find him anywhere, even the copper coronet. i like korgan alot and i want to keep him till the end.

5. Just sell it.
6. Aerie have an Intelligent score of 16, so she can only have a maximum of 11 known spells per level. To write more than 11 spells into the Spell Book, you need to raise her Intelligent score, with either Potion of Genius or Potion of Mind Focusing - I can't remember where you can buy them though.
7. Yes, the XP Cap remover allow you to get to the maximum level in the game - which is 40. It also means that multiclass characters can get to level 40 for both or all three of their classes.
8. Put the files into the Override folder of BG2, as it said in the Read Me.txt file.
9. Are you sure that Korgan leave? I looked through the dialogue, and all I found was that Korgan complained when you join Valygar, but he doesn't leave.
Oh and you might want to add "Spoilers" to the title of the topic since you're discussing about Valygar's quest - edit the first post, second icon from the right.

when i drink the potion of genius or potion of mid focussing, so i permanently gain that intelligence?
i think i waited too long when doing the quest so Korgan is complaining alot. but that's no reason why he should leave. as soon as i replace Korgan with Valygar, he doesn't give me a choice to see him again. He just says that his reputation is going down and he says by fooling around he doesn't like me and he leaves. maybe i should switch valygar with someone else?

when u get to the Gouverment district Korgan will tell u what to do, if not check your Diaree because all information about Quest is saved there.
after that u can do the Planar Sphere quest and u wont have to lose anybody.
about that intelligence question the answer is no it is a temporarly intelligence boost. but u have plenty of time to let her learn all the spells u want, with the Potion of Mind Focussing and Potion of Genius u can also let npc's learn higher lvl spells then they are suposed to. (only NPC's with int. 18 or higher can learn all livl spells, Hear'Dalis for instance has'nt got high int. but with the poitions he can still learn lvl 7,8,9 spells and because of his low Int. u can let him learn more spells of lower lvl's.
they can't cast them after that, but it is nice for the EXP.

I believe that the "him or me" party interactions that occur between party NPCs of evil and good alignment are conditioned at least in part by NPCs being disgruntled over your rep. If you're reputation causes grumbling, they're more likely to pick fights with party folks of polar alignment.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
