Wot an anti-climax!!

Post by Wals Mum »

I took Scorpp into the fire node as fodder and after I beat the Balor I could not pick up gem or exit through ANY of the portals, I teleported to another node and the same thing.
Easy solution that I am posting for others who may encounter the same problem. KILL SCORPP then everything works again.
Strange that I could get through portals prior to defeating the Balor.

Great game

Re : Scorp

Hmm, strange....

I did not have any problems when i took Scorp through the nodes, have you installed the availible patches ?

I know some new bugs show up all the time, i would love more info on this.

Imagine this game bug-free!!!
All i want for christmas etc.....

Hi Mulligan

Yes I have the official patch installed - you said patches - is there another other than the Atari patch?

I have just encounted the same bug, prior to destroying the skull I have summoned each "big dude" and dismissed them, thus obtaining a spare elemental gem off each.

After summoning the Balor same scenario - this time I have Darley in party so I had to kill her to be able to continue.

There is an un-official patch (or mod pack) by Circle of Eight that fixes some stuff that the official patch missed as well as restoring some things that atari/Hasbro removed (like the brothel).

It is available at the link below, and I apply it after the official patch.

Re: wals mum

Hi there, Wals Mum

Sorry for the delay in answering your post, been out of town for a few days.

I've run through the nodes with Scorp again just to check, but it worked fine. i play with both official and CO8 patch installed, and that takes care of most problems so i strongly suggest you get both.

The guys at CO8 have recently uppdated their patch to ver 2.0 and ( i'm installing it now ) it promise to take care of the looting problems with Npc'c

The gems : if you pick them up with the skullbearer they automatically inserts themself in the skull, so i use another Pc to cary them. I dont think you're supposed to get multiple copies of them for summoning the bosses, so consider this a bug. (although it would be nice for all Pc'c to have all four gems, hmm ? )

Sorry i cant help you more at this time but be sure to visit the Co8 site, it really helps

Happy hunting :) :) :)
