gold mine near Port Last

Is there any way to unlock the old goldmine near port last???
or this mine is only for wandering how open it???
if it could be unlocked what can i find there??
please help

I maybe wrong (only just finished the game) But I believe that part of the mines is tied with the bounty hunt quest you get, the daughter of the guy who asks you to track down the ears of the escaped criminals gets kidnapped. That's where u find her.

Talk to Kendrack in the mercenary barracks and get the bounty hunting quest. When you bring him the penultimate (second-to-last) ear, he will tell you that his daughter was kidnapped by Yesgar, who is holed up in the mines... and also give you a key to get in.
