i dont know if this thread has been done yet but i checked and nothing came up, sorry if it has.
So, who do u think was the hardest of our brothers and sisters. For me, it would have to be Abazigal just because ive never really been good at killing dragons. I just never did get the hang of them :confused:
If you feel so inclined to do so you can tell why the person you chose was so hard!

Ilassera is the lady you fight at the beginning of ToB and should be an archer.
You also forgot two Baalspawns, Gromir (a fighter) and Balthazar (a monk), which is supposed to be the strongest of the group.

I think you are considering the Baalspawns of vanilla ToB (no Ascension and improved mods), but you are referring on who is the hardest singular monster or who has the hardest fight/quest?

As a single monster I would vote for Abazigal;
for the hardest fight probably the final one with Melissan is the one (as it should be), unless you use a lot of cheese;
the hardest quest is probably Yaga (lots of fight, although Yaga himself is not hard).

Depending on your class and if you are starting a new game in Tob, Ilassera can be tough too.

wow

wow, not only do i feel like an idiot, i feel like an idiot because i was under the impression that Bhaltazar and Gromnir were just two super horrible rulers and i needed to take them out. All this time I didn't know they were bhaalspawn. Sorry about that :confused:
Well if anybody wants to post about Bhaltazar or Gromnir feel freee to do so.

God Sendai almost battered me to bits. Fighting about 50 Drow, 5 Skeletons and 8 or so Sendais is one tough challenge. It required extreme presevervance and at the end of the battle my Ranger was on 7 HP!

Sendai gives me the creeps. In ascenscion, her powers are amazing. I've been beaten several times with a non-high level enough mage, cause I couldnt counter atack her tricks, and everytime I hit her another pile of drow dung will appear through the door, with more bloodspilling, more damage, and more hla's being used. The first time I beat her, I gone to the wine cellar, opened a bottle of syrah - I spent 3 days tuning up the tactics to destroy the evil beetch.

But If I could choose one of them to join me, except Sarevok (I would love to play SoA with him no cheats added) it will be Abazigal, cause draconic polymorph must be awesome...

(Why cant I summon Draco?)

BTW, DBsli, welcome to the boards!

*The crowd cheers* :D

And dont worry, your lore will raise a lot here... Try chatting with Use R Unfriendly, Elesar, and the others... they are amazing, and if you havent played bg through with tactics or the mods installed, the better way to do it is after a introduction to the hard world game...

And try the other forums, if you like.

*Shouts:*

Long live the Heathen!!!

The fight with Gromnir is fairly straight forward, as long as you take out the two mages first (insect plague works wonders). It's the back-stabbing thieves you really have to worry about. If all of your party is free and non-panicked then you can always leave the room, heal everyone, then go back in.

I managed to take out Yaga-Shura all by my lonesome (an armour class of -20 probably helped there). Gromnir's ice flail works a treat against fire giants (as does the Wave halberd). Again, if you stay close to the edge of the map you can always travel somewhere else, heal and sleep, then return to where you left off.

Abazigal is easy with a high-level thief (a few strategically placed spiked traps, and he's toast). Of course knowing what he can do helps you plan ahead (but then again, having dispatched his son Draconis gives you a clue of what to expect).

The worst fights would have to be with Sendai and Bhaltazar. Bhaltazar can hit hard, and being constantly knocked back is a real pain. Although since the fight doesn't start immediately, you can summon a heap of high-level butt-kickers to fight with you and send them on ahead. I took the easy way out, and hasted my party beforehand. That way when the fighting started, we backed off quickly and let the summoned monsters do the hard work. The earth elemental prince Summis ended up pounding Bhaltazar to pulp.

However the marathon battle with Sendai is a real stinker. If you manage to come out of it alive and have only lost one or two party members then you're doing well.

But what's with the twisting of the onyx rings? They just wind up being ordinary non-magical rings when you pick them up. Is it a Drow thing?

No. Don't go there, as all you'll find will be a bunch of raving lunatics and a couple of diseased gibbering gibberlings who will surely give you the rabies when they sink their razor sharp teeth into your flesh.
That's not something that would suit your fine tastes, I'm certain.

As for you, Luis, you are needed in... ahh... another forum. Depart quickly, before divine retribution has stricken.

This is true but, if you remember Melisan was trying to become Bhaal, the god of destruction. If she had done so then, I, a bhaal child, would be the child of Melisan. Therefor, she would have been my mom.

Cyric killed Baal and replaced his position but Cyric is still Cyric, not becoming Baal. Melissan will be still Melissan even if she become Lady of Murder, not Baal. Unless you think Cyric is your dad.

Are you so sure? I had the feeling Bhaals throne was empty, cause Cyric wanted not to be his replacement.

All right, but Cyric had took the "murder", wasn't he?

Let's talk about Saverok, your brother in BG. If his plan had been done, your brother would become your dad?

you know i had never thought of that saravok father thing, shows how smart i am :p so i have no idea what he would be
all i know is that he kicks some serious butt
