There's nothing like an original excuse. It may not be that believable, but the sheer absurdity and uniqueness of it may actually get you off the hook when you find yourself on the spot.
Find yourself facing the music? Have you run out of excuses? No problem...use the link below to C.Y.A.

So...what's your excuse?

My Excuse
I got so distracted by tracking down the sinister forces that control our lives that I could hardly keep my head together-- and then my Loompanics catalog arrived. I am so out of it sometimes! Anyway, I hope our TV stays broken this week.

As for you, don't blow a gasket. Get it through your brick: you aren't exactly the Dalai Lama yourself. Some of us don't keep tabs on all our friends. But have it your way-- I'm sorry. Jeez, people can be so anal.

@DW: LMFAO!
That is one of the best excuses I have ever heard.

I got so distracted by what turned out to be NOT a long-lost cousin that I could hardly think-- and then my boss got on my case COMPLETELY unfairly. I am so out of it sometimes! Anyway, I hope our TV stays broken this week.

I uh-- I uh, I violated my oath and all. What I'm not really saying very well is, I could've done better, I know. You know, I didn't mean to-- well, I'm sorry. Is that ...I don't know, what else can I say?
Uh... yeah, sorry 'about that.

I got so obsessed by the teachings of Ayn Rand that I could hardly think-- and then my boss got on my case COMPLETELY unfairly. I am so unspiritual sometimes! Anyway, I hope my new meditation program clears up the problem this week.
LOL!

As for you, don't lay a trip on me. In words of one syllable: you aren't the only person in the world. Some of us have a life. But I suppose I'll never get any peace till I say it-- I'm sorry. Jeez, people can be so anal.

I am less than nothing. You've reminded me-- oh, it cuts me to the quick-- that I have been a selfish, slime-wallowing hog. It would be more than just for you to leave me festering in well-deserved pain. Say the word, and I will send flowers, jewels, and furs in apology.

I uh, well-- I mean, I blew it and all. What I'm not really saying very well is, I could've done better, I know. You know, I'm like the apology man. Is that OK, or do you want like a play-by-play?

I am half-mad with shame. You've reminded me-- oh, it never leaves my thoughts, no matter how I beg-- that I have no claim on the mercy of even a saint. It would be your right for you to leave me festering in well-deserved pain. Say the word, and I will send a check to your favorite charity in apology.

I gotta-- I really-- yeah, I didn't do, you know, that stuff and all. What I-- oh man. The thing is, oh, jeez, how do I say it. You know, sorry sorry sorry. Is that OK, or do you want like a play-by-play?
heheh
