Apparently it MIGHT be called Oblivion, that's all I know, check out the UESP for more details.

*sigh* I can see how the game would lend itself to a MMPORG... but I'm really not wild about them....

Well I do really like the concept and idea of massive mutlyplayer role playing, but I'm not keen on monthly payments and they should be clear to follow and easy to do alone as well. I think that Diablo 2 set an example here, you just needed the game and you could play the game online.
But I like the idea of at least a multiplayer mode (since I am missing it now in morrowind)

IMHO the last thing we need is yet another fantasy mmorpg...

My feelings exactly... I was really hoping Bethesda might not succumb to that obsession.
I think, unfortunately, that the market for well-made single-player RPGs is smaller and less profitable than the one for online games, 'action RPGs' or purely console games. Morrowind, while good for different reasons, is at least as well done as Planescape Torment and Shadows of Amn, it is a shame that the move is now away from quality games such as this

Why dont you people enjoy MMORPG's? They are the only type of games that I actually enjoy....did I miss something that gave MMORPG's a bad name?

The UESP is the Unofficial Eldar Scrolls Pages, but the site seems to be down right now.

mmorpgs arent any fun for people with slow internet connection or people that arent willing to spend all there free time chopping down wood or killing insignificant creatures so they can gain a measly level only to be killed by some massive pk... granted multiplayer games can be fun i still prefer d&d as my source of multiplayer rping, and my comp is for great rpgs, like morrowind with graphics

i am COMPLETELY against online morrowind, end of story. it would destroy morrowinds roots. just say no.

i agree completely, but its already planned so we cant change it, unless of course we petition....
hmmm....

I wonder if it would be worthwhile attempting to set up a petition....
Though, I'm honestly not sure if it would have an effect.. as I mentioned earlier the gaming industry is generally moving towards online games and the like since they are deemed more profitable....

No, there's nothing wrong with MMORPG's, I just think that, at this moment, there are more than enough
fantasy-oriented ones. It would be nice if some company came up with something original. Like... a western. Or something prehistoric (Neanderthal Online)...

I couldn't agree more. There goes all the unique and moddable flavor of Morrowind, out the window.
