what is your favorite character style?

I want to know abit from your gaming experiences.... I havent finished the game yet, still on my first character.. i play LS 2 lightsabers soldier/guardian.... and i wantto try something different for my next game
what about you?
what is your favorite lightsaber fighting style? (double, single,2, short, long???)(best combo?)
favorite character (soldier, scout, scoundrel, guardian, sentinel, consular?) (best combo?)
favorite equipement?
favorite party (and why)?
LS or DS?
skills? feats? powers? (you prefer?)
it would be really nice to have a good participation here.. very interesting for newcomers..

7/13 Scoundrel/Guardian, two regular sabers, master critical strike, master speed, dark side. Also known as the Zombie Ninja Assassin.
Edit: oh, and I usually substitute my main lightsaber for the Baragwin assault blade when I'm playing on the PC.

Personally I'm all about one long/one short lightsaber...
My main character always has master critical strike, and my long saber will have the opila/nextor combo for super criticals. My short one will have a couple of damage/attack boosters like the solari, upari or krayt pearl... Maybe even a jenraux if I'm still early in the game.
Favorite powers have to be death field and force wave. Anything that deals with multiple enemies at once is good.
Also, you gotta have speed. Besides the great advantage in combat, it lets you move faster for those "gotta-get-all-the-way-over-there times...
Although the straight forward soldier/guardian action is fun, I'm playing a scoundrel/consular now. Just because Jedis kick ass I still hold my own in combat, while wounding, killing, plagueing, insanitying etc etc like crazy without worrying about depleting my force points... Good times.
Equipment? I'm kind of torn between sticking with lightsabers for my jedis, or going with normal melee weapons. There are some really cool swords in the game, but I never seem to use them. I also never seem to use any blaster rifles or heavy weapons. I'm a firm believer in the more weapons, the better...
Anyone beg to differ?

can someone explain why they choose a particular lightsaber style? what are the advantages of a double bladed lightsaber for example?

I believe that the scoundels sneak attack works in conjunction with the guardians Force Jump (as long as they don't see you)
I originally chose double sabers because of the 'no penalties' bug. I continued to use double sabers becuase they also do more damage and look better (imho). I could also get it faster (steal Bastilla's
) then two sabers.

With a critical strike build you need to use weapons with a 19-20 threat range. With any other build you can use a double-bladed weapon. Simple.
Scoundrel/Guardian is the most damaging offensive build due to sneak attack. It's also an excellent defensive build due to scoundrel's luck.

I like to have a Scoundrel/Consular because even though at the start scoundrels pretty much suck at fighting later they can get really powerful and eventually when I get to level like 16 with the consular the way I fight is with stasis field and force wave I don’t even have to touch a guy to kill him and those powers use up so little of my force power because I go with the light side that I can use them over and over again. Like I was on the Leviathan and I come into a room totally unarmed freeze 8 Elite Sith Soldiers with stasis field then I do 2 force waves and they all crumple to the ground lol. This is my equipment when I fight Malak and the feats and stats I had by the end of the game. The lightsabers aren’t super powerful because I only used them when I had to and that was usually just against Dark Jedi. Pretty much against everything else I used force powers to kill. Hope these stats and stuff help any beginners!
(spoiler if you haven't gotten out of the Leviathan)
My party members are usually Juhani and Bastilla, but once Bastila
is captured by Darth Malak at the Leviathan I use Jolee and Juhani

I chose this lightsaber to go up against Dark Jedi because I usually use force powers on everything else, but on Dark Jedi the force powers don't always work.

whats the advantage of 'mixing classes' ? why would a scout become a guardian instead of a sentinel?
i play pure guardian:
lvl 8 soldier/12 guardian
all my feats are combat (crital strike, melee weapon mastery, 2 melee, lightsaber..)
my powers are knight valor, speed and armor...
(i dont even have heal or force push...)
all skills are treat injury etc...
all attributes go in str
next char im doing somethign different..
my alternatives are: scout/sentinel
or scoundrel/consular...
but after reading abit, i see that some people do scout/guardian etc.. the 'mix' classes.. i what to know why, and what's the best combo...

I would say scoundrel/guardian is the best combo because as a scoundrel you get sneak attacks like I usually get sneak attack IV plus you get improved scoundrel's luck and those 2 combined with how powerful the guardian is with a lightsaber and if you add master speed you've got quite a deadly combo.

im heading more into DS.. to use some really cool force powers...
any ideas for a more force power axed character who could still fight with lightsaber when needs to? im not really into sneak attak, dont know how it works..

Well if I were you and your going towards a more force power aspect of the game take a scoundrel/consular because man those 2 combined packa force punch plus the consular gets so many force points that you can use tons of force powers before running out and he rengenerates faster then the soldier and sentinel so he's a force machine. Plus the scoundrel gets a great defense and he's all around good at everything.
And once you get later into the game they can pack quite a punch with two lightsabers.

I wouldn't know about scout/consular I haven't played that. So the only thing I know that the scout gets is implants. Plus scoundrel/consular are the offical go together combo just like soldier/guardian and scout/sentinel, but I don't know if that mixed combo would be better or not you can try it. I've heard it's really good too.

Well I'm not usually on this much, but my parents are coming home from skiing in like an hour and then we're going to an easter party so right now I'm just playing comp games like Medal of Honor and replying to things I've written in forums and doing my e-mails.

Scouts get the best starting saves period. You don't need the conditioning feat for scouts. They get implant feats for free so between soldier and scout, if implants were feats you wanted for your soldier anyway, then the number of feats difference between them is negligible especially scout4/guardianxx and soldier8/guardianxx. For this if you trade (if starting from scout 4), 1 attack bonus and 8 vitality points. Plus their skill progression is good enough though the scoundrel's is much better but if you want HK then scout as a starting build is best since repair is a class skill for scouts.

Ya I still haven't even finished all the missions on Medal of Honor lol. But I play over the internet more then I do campaigns. I love sniping over the internet! It's the best! Ya I heard Call of Duty is way good. Anyways ummm back to Kotor...

i really want force powers to be my main attack, but i also want to be able to rely on my lighsaber for dark jedis...
