hi everybody... ok, I need somebody to tell me what is the exact xp cap in ToB… also I need information how much xp does a thief need to reach level 40 (it would be great if someone would tell me the same thing for levels 38 and 39)…

Why I need this… I’m finishing BG now and I still don’t have ToB (but I have SoA) and it will be some time before I get ToB… so I want to make a ninja class :) (kensai/thief) and I was wondering how much XP should I leave for the fighter class and not to lose to much (or nothing) from thief class… like you can make lvl 9 (or 7) fighter and dual class it to mage and reach maximum lvl with mage anyway…

thanks to all how replay...

IIRC the xp cap is 8 million... but there are a few xp cap removers you can download. Try here.
And welcome to Game Banshee :)

Ok you both didn’t understand me…

@Coot:
I don’t want to use any xp cap removers, I want to play the game like it is meant to be played… I only want to make a perfectly balanced (balance between fighter/thief levels) character…

@Stilgar:
Probably there are those things in the manual for ToB (xp cap for ToB, how much xp thief need to reach lvl 40, 38, 39) but I DON’T HAVE ToB so I asked if somebody could help me…

anyway thanks for replaying but those are not the replays I need…

When I played ToB with a duel-classed fighter-thief, I maxed out my experience as a level 39 thief. Perhaps if I hadn't also had points as a 7th level fighter, I may have reached level 40. So as far as level 40 goes, I'm guessing you'll have to have the whole 8 million.

I've since downloaded a patch that allows me to get to level 50. It turns out that even when you reach the experience cap, your character still keeps accruing points (they just don't count). So as soon as I'd installed the patch, I jumped from level 39 to level 50 immediately. I suppose the phantom points are there to make sure the kill stats are accurate (ie. % of party experience, etc).

You'll be best off going to level 13 as a Kensai, and then dual classing into Thief.
