Morrowind. Worth it?
I saw the other day a morrowind game pack, it included all 3 games of morrowind. And i ask you this, is it worth it? should I drop my money on this game? Or should i maybe wait for something else? I've heard negative and good reviews for it, some people say the battle system sucks etc, but I wanted some people on this forums advice. Should i buy it?

In my opinion...
the magic system sucks, but everything else is really fun and addictive, ive started over 20 characters because the whole game is fun and it has plenty of replay value.... but by far the best thing about the game is the ability to play with mods and to make your own mods

That depends on what you expect of a game. Many friends of mine dislike it, others love it. These who don't like it love games like Gothic which are more or less quite linear*. Morrowind is totally different. At the beginning you'll very likely feel like thrown into cold and dark water. You have to paddle around with your arms until you manage to get your head above the surface. But if you succeed, you'll have an ocean before you with almost no borders. Give it a try and love it...but only, if you can swim
*This doesn't mean that you won't like Morrowind if you like Gothic. Gothic is a great game...

hah, yes I do like non-linear games, especially when you can be evil.
I've checked it out on the bioware website, plus after hearing that, I think I'll check it out

.
Any other comments would be great too

its possibly my favourite rpg
and i play d&d and ad&d rpgs and console anime rpgs and action rpgs etc
the world isnt quite the way i'd like it, but it is rich. theres definetely lots to do
the combat system isnt bad, just a bit different. i think i'd like more depth in that and in the magic use.
but its definetely worth the money, considering the amount of hours i've spent playing it

I bought the Game of the Year pack myself, it is an awesome deal!
Morrowind is one of the best games I've played. My only criticisms are that the NPCs tend to lack depth and quests can often be of the 'fetch' variety. However, this is compensated for by the fact that you can be anything you want to be within the framework of the game. It goes beyond the completely open character class system and the almost limitless expanse of area you can wander through. You can sit down to play and quite literally decide what you are in the mood for: a hack&slash dungeon crawl, completing one of the countless quests, practicing your skills, making potions, trying to enchant something (yes, you can create your own magic items), or just go for an exploratory walk since the graphics are real eye candy

Yup it’s worth it… I happen to like playing it on the xbox more then the comp but that’s because I like the controller better then the up and down arrows on keyboard. However you can always buy controllers that hook up to your comp.

Wow you found it for 14 bucks, and I thought I found a deal. I found it for 20 bucks at Walmart. It was so cheap I couldn’t pass it up either. I know the game is worth way more then 14 bucks, I don’t know why it’s so cheap. But now I guess it might be because everyone bought it for computer and no one buys it for xbox.

Why don't you just download it and if you like it you can always buy it to support the creators and motivating them to make more otherwise you can rest assured that you have not wasted the money.

Well, you see, thats the funny part about it.
It turns out after you play it for a while it DOES get fun...
Imagine that...
o.o;;
God i'm stupid.
EDIT: The only problem about it IMO is that it's almost
TOO non-Linear(sp?) It's kinda overwhelming(sp?) at first.

my first character was a custom class, and sucked. its actually better to pick one of the premade classes, they are nicely balanced.
join the mage, thief and fighter guilds, for free supplies from the supply chests, discounts and lots of quests.
joining the imperial legion is irritating if you dont do the quests and stay a low rank, every legionaire you see will say 'wheres your uniform?'.
leave joining a great house until you are sure of which you want to join
join the temple and the imperial cult, for free shrine use and discounts etc
its a good idea to do a few little main quest jobs for caius, and to do the lower end guild quests
or you could go sight seeing
