Enchanting weapons and armors??

I have few questions about enchanting weapons and armors in ToEE.
First I have bard lvl 6 with 16 CHA and both feats(craft items and craft armors)-I know that is not good choice but i want bard instead sorcerer or wizard!
WHAT SPELLS U NEED TO ENCHANT WEAPONS/ARMORS??
COULD I USE SPELLS ON SCROLLS OR ONLY MEMORIZED??
WHAT WEAPONS/ARMORS COULD BE ENCHANTED??
HAVE ANYONE EXAMPLES OF ENCHANTED ITEMS/WEAPONS/ARMORS??
I coould only work some resistance capes and invisibility items, could craft bracers of dex, archer etc.
THANKS FOR ALL HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, here is a few answer, in random order:
you can enchant from +1 to +3 with no problem, although it will cost lots of gold and XP. You want to enchant them in sequences, not to +3 straight: I mean:
enchant to +1 (click CREATE)
enchant to +2, etc...
the XP cost will remain the same.
Armors can be enchanted with up to +3 enhancement bonus, Silent Moves and Spell Resistance abilities, although the SR function is bugged in the game. Save your money and XP
Weapons can have various functions: frost, flaming, keen, etc... with required caster level (your level as a bard, in your case) and some spells that need to be known (not on scrolls and not necesseraly memorized).
The spells are for most of them offensive spells from the wizard, druid and cleric list, therefore you might have trouble enchanting special abilities with a bard, since they lack offensives spells.
Maybe you might take a few level as a druid or cleric to have the required spells. There are lots of posts regarding the required spells for crafting.
IMO, maybe the most interesting options for a crafting bard are Brew Potions and Craft Wondrous Items, since they have access to fun spells (VERY useful at low level for potions, like Heroism or Cure spells, then Haste later) at 4th level. I had a bard brewer in my group, and I don't regret my choice.
Bards can enchant the various ability-boost items, like Gloves of Dexterity, plus the handy Bracers of Archery since you have access to Craft Arms & Armors also.
You will find a few weapons with special abilities in the game, that might afterwards be increased to +3 with your bard. Read other posts about it.
Hope this helped
Peace!

Crafting Weapons and Armor
I forgot... Your bard needs to have a masterwork version of the item that will be enchated in his inventory in order to have access to the crafting menu. Read my previous post for more info.

Although the effects of enchanting weapons and armors are not very varied in TOEE, it is still funny to craft many kinds of magic items. But it is dull to name them as 'longsword +3' or 'fire dagger +1'.
Do you have any suggestion for naming your enchanting equipment, like 'Icicle' for '+2 keen icyburst rapier' or 'Mace of Element' for '+3 flame shock frost heavy mace'? Don't you think it is cool to wield a weapon with resounding name?
It is a little hard for me to think about beautiful names by English. Hope you can give me some inspiration, thanks a lot!

hmmm, i always names my weapon with my name for ex. Promilus axe+1 or something, with extra enchantments i suggest only names like Icereaver, Bloodaxe, Satan's Scythe,Angel's Blade,Holy sickle, Pyro mace,........and many others based on true names from BG,NWN,or even from fantasy books
hmmmm, BTW, if i get 10th lvl, and some xtra XP i could do some weapons and do not lose level??
where can i get more cash and XP because MAUL+3+shock+holy is VERY EXPENSIVE!!!???

If you leveled up, the spare experience you can use will decrease. It means you can't use more experience to let you lose level.
If you want to earn more money, you can sell items such as gems to shopkeeper, like the gem seller at Hommelet, and then steal them back, again and again. It is very easy to get money by this way.

Maybe you can try wearing masterwork leather armor (+2), masterwork buckler (+2 even it is not fit for rogue), +6 dexterity gloves (+3), and heroism(+2).
Of course you should quick save/load to make sure of success.
Or you can try to sell/steal Burne, his spot points seems lower than gem seller.
Good luck!

When you steal you should take off any armor and shields. (they give penalties). Also buy the Masterwork thieves tools in Nulb, have your bard "Inspire Compentense" and cast Cat Grace if you don't have Gloves of Dex +6.
But the best way to make unlimited amounts of money is to enchant the items you find that you dont need and sell them. Or you can buy a Masterwork item from Smyth, Enchant it as much as you can and sell it. By doing this i have over 600.000 GP in my party, and my solo char. has 200.000 GP.
Unlimited XP is gained from resting in the wild or better, The Temple lvl. 3 & 4.
Have Fun

I am not sure the original rules of wearing masterwork leather armor bestows penalties or not, but it gives benefits in TOEE. BTW, crafting magic items to sell seems good idea, too.

Yes, they give bonuses to AC, but shields and armor have an "armor check penalty" listed in the info window when you hoover your mouse over an armor.
If this number is negative (ie -1, -2. etc) you subtract this from skill checks wtih Hide, Move Silent and Sleight of Hand among others. The in-game help list all the skills that are subject to penalties.
A Masterwork suit of armor has "better" check penalties. I.e. if a Chain shirt has check penalty -2, a Masterwork Chain Shirt would only have -1. But it's still a penalty, so therefore is best to remove armor before stealing.
A Masterwork Leather Armor has check penalty 0 so for that armor it won't matter, but for bigger armors and shield it matters.
Hope this clarifies some

There is a smith at Hommlet nearby the Wetch Inn. You could buy masterwork equipments by talking to him (don't enter the barter list).

best and only way if you want to equip your complete party with the best crafted items...
...as you will need more then a million GP for that...
...but I would suggest to craft most of the things you need with a wizard and a cleric on level 7...
...just don't level them up - and craft before the reach level 9 cause you won't get any experience further...
on level 9 and 10 you will get exp. only for a few monster types - so it's better to have enough gold and / or items before level up!

.
best search with google for "co8" and "TOEE" - this way you will find it easily...
btw. you should first install the official ATARI patch - Co8 is compatible...
...with Co8 you will get rid off some bugs and get some for modifying TOEE useful new files in your rules folder...
...and last but not least get masterwork-items from the hommlet blacksmith !
