Refinements, Version 1, released!

At last, after incredible efforts, technical discoveries, forum debates, flamings, encouragements, "conversions", delays, delays, and yet more delays, Version 1 is finally ready!!
The best comments about the mod came from our beta testers, so I will say nothing more.
Everything can be found following the link to our website (in my sig).
The (crazily) detailed documentation is also available separately, so, really, nothing more to add

What do you do if two different Weidu mods ask to be installed last?

Just skip the "Simplified Ordering Rule" and check the rest of the documentation
Ok, ok
Not all mods have ordering issues with Refinements (and not all components have ordering issues at all).
I can think of another Mod that requests to be installed last, which is Virtue.
Virtue has no problems at all with Refinements though, and these two mods can be installed in any relative order (this also applies for the usage of the Sword Angel Kit together with Virtue, which is actually a
most recommended combo).
I can't think of any other ambiguity of this kind right now, just ask me if needed
Thanx @all for the comments BTW

Regarding a Sorceror HLA, Inner Focus. The HLA aims to increase a Sorceror's innate spell ability, and thus provides a CHA bonus of 1.However isn't the prime requisite of a Sorceror INT? Providing a CHA bonus isn't particularly intuitive for a Sorceror HLA.

tbh the only reason a sorceror needs INT is to get the level 10 spells (and if i'm correct, if you use a potion before you level up you can get the level 10 spells anyway)

yeah, that's true. Perhaps inner focus could be changed to like adding +1 magic damage to anything a sorceror hits, if it's possible. Sounds more fitting that a pointless stat increase...

Hmmm, are you sure about this? I just finished ToB with Kelsey a couple days ago and he got ALL of the level 10 spells by the end of the game altough his intelligence was only like 12 and I never increased it with anything.
I do not think that a Sorceror needs any intelligence. Wisdom might be better stat to spend points on just becase of getting better options with the wish spell (drinking a potion of Insight before every battle can be annoying if you like using the Wish spell).

sorcerors actually benefit from being as dumb as a doorpost...

LMAO!!!
Do you mean low wisdom (for employing your rabbit nuke technique) or low intelligence for the purposes of being able to save the points for other stats though?
OR BOTH?
EDIT: Imagine what a magic school for sorcerors would be like: Only the gifted and the utterly DUMB are accepted! LOL
People are running around the school like headless chickens tinkering with stuff they don't understand (since magic comes naturally to them) and the roof caves in every week! Then there is the problem of a contingency spell going off accidentily when going to the bathroom!

its even simpler than that...
low int is useful for bunny nuking, but minsc is perfect for that...
MAZE!!!
set up a chain contingency, maze, malison, area damage spell...cast on self...
amazingly, the sorc is mazed before the rest of the contingency goes off!!! spells cast without a spell caster...
and a stupid sorc will be mazed longer, enough for the area damage spell to kill everything, and spell runs out, or aerie casts zone of sweet air...then he/she pops back in, and says...
pc: ok, let me at them!!! urm...jaheira, aerie, what happened to those beholders???
jaheira pats the pc gently on the head: Its ok hon, you got them all....
pc: i did??? when??? duh....

Sorcs do have a CHA requirement at game creation, though it was, uh, conceiled...So we also alter the class description, considering INT and CHA primary requisite for Sorcs.
Anyway it's true, the engine doesn't make stat distinctions for assigning spells or whatever. Inner Focus is basically a necessary step to do, since it unlocks many of the rest of the HLAs.
It's similar to Blessing of Nature for Druids, or Enlightenment for Clerics.
At any rate, now that we're having some more users, we're also receiving some more feedback, of course...
I've already corrected/fixed/revised some things, mostly related to the druidic shapeshifting component (nothing that prevents the mod to be used anyway, so far).
When I've collected a few more, I'd release a new build, hopefully a "final" version 1.
Then a most needed break, then (insert an unspecified date) we'll start to think about version 2...

Your posts always make me burst out laughning.
Great tecnique to make those user-unfriendly (I mean party un-friendly

) spells to good use! I have to try this out sometime.
The only downside I can think of would be that you couldn't do this if you played solo because if you mazed yourself, then...
