A mod refers to a modification, usually unofficial (i.e. by fans of the game) that alters parts of the original game or adds extra areas to the game. Since mods are mostly fan-made, don't expect the mods to have the same overall quality as the rest of the game... although some mods are notably well-done.

One more thing - it's fine to use netspeak (or whatever it's called) during IRC or chat sessions, because of time issues. However in forums it would be more useful to type with normal spelling and cut down on the typos, because a whole paragraph of chopped up words is terribly straining on the eyes. Moreover, if you would like your question to be replied to, it's generally customary to put some effort into your question.

Other than that: judging from your various other posts in the forum, it doesn't sound as though you have completed SoA or ToB (correct me if I'm wrong). I recommend playing through FULLY (i.e. complete 90% of the quests - refer to walkthrough to be sure) at least once before trying a mod, in case something wrong happens and you don't know if it is a problem with the game or with the mod.

Good advice that, as he will need to start a new game to be able to play Tortured Souls anyway. Besides, Tortured Souls is not a WeIDU mod and will be incompatible with some other mods. For instance, if I remember correctly, if you have installed the Baldurdash fixpack (all of the Baldurdash fixes in one package) for your current game and if you try to install Tortured Souls now, your game might be messed up pretty bad (this is because some of the fixes in Baldurdash are also addressed in mods such as Tortured Souls as well so installing both will mess things up).

Furthermore, Tortured Souls needs to be installed right after the Throne of Bhaal patch to work correctly (and after the Shadows Over Soubar and the Darkest Day mods if you have them) so if you installed any mods for your current game, you might actually need to re-install your game to be able to get Tortured Souls to install and work correctly.

I have completed Soa once or twice. I will attempt to slow down on my typing so that it can be read easily. I will also revise my posts. I apologize fo rmy "netspeak" but i have spent all my major online gaming on Battle.net, where any foul language or typos or whatever they are goes. I have spent so many years there, so it will be hard to break the habit. I am used to brutally expressing my feelings via internet or forum. Though this forum runs differentely, i will make an efort to change.

I'm sorry, but can you please not talk like that, it is incredibly annoying
