propylons

what is the purpose of the propylon index's? Is it some kind of a transport system, do you need to find them all to beat the game, or is it just something thats just a useless side quest.
not useless, you can use them to travel all over. theres an official mod that allows you to get a master index as well
the propylons transport you in a circular rotation between the dunmer fortresses
