Where is Sodalis?(HotU)

I'd be grateful if anyone of you guys could help me here. I'm in the Cult temple and I'm just going in to the room that holds Sodalis. But there is one tiny problem; He's not there!! I have killed everything in the other levels and I THINK that I have all the specific items(if you got to have one?). Does anyone know what to do? This bites...

Check the websites walkthrough for the Cult temple to make sure you are in the right place. If you are - and he isen't where he should be, then you have likely run into a bug.
Is your game fully patched?
If you have been bugged you have a few options.
Reload from earlier save to see if the bug persists.
Spawn what ever he drops that is vital (a key if I belive), into the game, so you can move on. (proberly the easiest way to go)
Spawn the NPC in, and kill him. Unfortunally - if I recall right, creatures spawned in via the console are marked as friendly and in your party. But there is a way to kill somebody (Cows From Hell command iirc) - or rather anybody - that is around.

The only thing that I can think of is this; The last time I played trough the game I did Isle of the Maker and Shaoris Fell(?) BEFORE I went to the cult temple. Maybe that's it? The game is fully patched and I'm positive that I'm in the right place. This bites! Well well, at least I can start over from The Underdark now and don't have to play the Undermountain again.

I don't think that the order in which you complete thoese areas influences much in that regards.
Sounds like a bug then

i had a similar trouble
i played the gong, then pressed esc...
and the script didn't work, sodalis was not at 3° floor but near the gong
did you try to exit the temple and visit the gong area?
maybe he's there

Thanks! He WAS outside by the gong. Finally we can move on!
