Does anyone know where one might aquire such an item? I have looked everywhere and have never been able to find them. I refuse to use cheats, which would be an obvious answer to get them. Is it some kind of easter egg or something? thanks

I don't believe they exist in the game. They were probably an item that was planned but never used. Here is a list of such items from Duncan Clay's BG Area Guide:

Spear +3, Backbiter CURSED
Studded Leather Armor +2, Missile Attraction CURSED
Helmet of Opposite Alignment
Helmet of Charm Protection

Hentold's Dagger (in the game Hentold gives you a Dagger +2)

Cloak of displacement was available for sale in Beregost and also at the inn in Ulgoth Beard if you have TOTSC.

The other items I don't remember seeing either - and they are not listed on the Gamebanshee equipment guides. When in doubt - reference the GB walkthrough and guides. They are the most complete on the net.

I recall coming upon the Helmet of Opposite Alignment.

I don't remember where, it could have been in a dream though.

Who sells the cloak of displacement in Beregost?

I just searched the entire town - must be a mistake on the equipment guide - sorry - no cloak until TOTSC.

Like julian's helm i came accross one bolt of polymorphing but cannot remember where or how (i thought it was a bolt of biting for a while). i got it very early in the game while doing the quests gained in beregost.

The Helm of opposite alignment can be found in Durlag's Tower on the Demon Knight when he first spawns to fireball the visitors to death.

I'm pretty sure I found the Backbiter spear in BG - but it is so long ago I played it, that I can't remember where.

I found 1 bolt of polymorphing... it was dropped by 1 of the skeletons protecting (I forgot his name, the cleric that is in the circle animating his "family")

I'm pretty sure I've found these items, not that it matters a lot, but indeed you get 1 bolt of polymorphing when you've defeated Bassilus.

Maybe a patch removes the bolt just like ROW.
