Feel sick while playing

I'm curious, does anyone else get nauseous while playing Morrowind? I had forgotten how bad it made me feel until I re-loaded it last week and started playing again. I have it on my home and work pc and it plays super at home on my new pc compared to the old one, but I can't play for more than an hour or so without feeling sick. I have it installed at work and plan on playing there. I can play during my lunch hour and not feel too bad when I'm done. When I first started playing (long ago) it took me a while to get past the nausea. Well, I never really got totally past it, but I wanted to play bad enough that I put up with it. Once I shifted to Neverwinter Nights, I stopped playing MW. NWN never made me feel ill. It sucks too because I was almost done with the main campaign in MW and lost the save files!

No, I cannot say I've ever felt sick while playing Morrowind. I have, however, felt a little overwhelmed or pissed off at some of the quests though. But those are the kind of emotional responses I look for when I play games - if those aren't there, then the game hasn't hit me at a deep level.

I've felt sick before. It feels like motion sickness to me, I should know, I get travel sick.

Hmm..I've never had that happen. Never been bothered by sea sickness, even on an LST floating from Okinawa to Thailand in rough sea. Flown lots and never been air sick or car sick. I had something similar happen to me several years ago. I think I was playing Doom. My boss & I had to be in the office 'on standby' all night once. We played Doom for 2-3 hours early in the morning. I had to go home later that morning because I felt so bad. I guess it's something to do with the movement. I've tried changing the camera, but it doesn't really help.

its also partly having to read so much after having to focus on the movement side of the game I think.

I get creeped out having to fight with kwarma queens. but that's just because they don't bother me, and I have no reason to bother them. Rather stay away, really.
I'd chalk it up to sea sickness. Have you tried playing in Third person perspective? Hit the tab button and the scene will jump to about 5' behind your character. it works fine except for targeting missle weapons.

Tried changing the camera, but it didn't help. I am thinking about trying a Dramamine or something similar to see if that helps. If it's sea / motion sickness related, I'm guessing that would help.

Try the FPS optimiser too. Its a long shot, but games that lag have given me headaches in the past... maybe they're linked.

I know what your problem is, SC. You get nauseated from the fact that Morrowind is better then your real life. It's why you get nauseated after an hour or so. Yes I know, I feel it too sometimes. Saddening isn't it? Sorry, that's all I can type... I'm going to go off and cry now.

Gee...guess that means the Dramamine won't help...
Thanks for pointing that out before I went to the pharmacy!
