I made an exquisite amulet have open 1-100 lock charges, and i tried to use it on mudan central vault (which is a 100 level lock) WOW I HAVE NO LUCK!!! (in RL and in-game) i would use the charges, then sleep for 24 hrs, then use the charges...on and on. I WENT THROUGH 130 IN GAME DAYS DOING THIS!!! and i didn't get the lucky 100 open once. I swear you never do. Has anyone ever gotten something like a "open 1-100 lock" thing to open a 100 lock? if you have PLEASE let me know.

I did this (using a frost atronach soul I think), and it works like a charm each and every time. You need to be sure that you have set the magnitude from 100-100. I don't know if it made a difference, but just to be positive I rammed up the area slider as well. My unlocking amulet will open anything...

or just use scrolls or pick the lock. Thats what i do, why waste a ring when you can use it for something much cooler.

The magnitude of the spell will be determined by both your luck and enchant skill. If you have a low enchant spell its safe to say that a 1-100 item will rarely go above 50. If its just a spell then it all comes down to luck, but an item like that is affected by enchant too.

Yeah my Bloodthroes Key 'an exquisite ring' has open 100-100 on it. You shouldn't have made it 1-100 I don't think it's worth the money you saved. I also agree with Dark Master, your amulet will stay within the 30-70 cast range for open.

If you know where to look... it is not as though exquisite rings are in short supply.. I have a whole drawer full of exquisite rings and amulets....
And while an amulet that unlocks anything might not be the 'coolest' thing out there it is certainly amongst the most useful and convenient. ;) You don't need to worry about dragging around lock picks and you don't have to worry about finding/making scrolls.... Honestly, of all of the things I have had enchanted (have it done at a professional enchanter and ram up all the values to max), it is by far and away the most handy.

I just use a spell with my female Altmer, it barely makes a dent in my Magicka bar

But if I use a character without that large amount of Magicka, I enchant an extravagant ring with the enchantment :p

ure right you know! i finally can get into the lost dwemer check point of mudan grotto! but i forgot to name the ring, so it is "equisite ring" still. ah well. poo occurs. and we're not all altmer :p i have a massive 47 magicka so i need a ring :D while we're on enchantments, is it possible to have a constant effect summon creature??

Yes. If the creature dies, simple re-equip the item. I once had a 'Staff of the black wrym' it was CE summon frost antronch on self. When it died, I just moved the mousewheel down one, and up one, and he was back.

DM
(PS, incredibly expensive though)

ya... ekash's lock splitter is the most retarted scroll out there... be sure you get a ring that opens to an area of five or something, at leaset 3. ekash's locksplitter wont open anything because it has no range... blargh!!!!

@DW, you can make your own scrolls? how powerful can they be? anything like scroll of the windform etc?

No, but you can enchant paper, but you cant make a scroll, and btw, it does work wether or not it has a area range, my open spell has no range and it works fine

it makes it easier... for instance a small locked chest on a chest is unreachable by a no range spell, but my range 4 spell unlocks 3 chests lined up next to eachother... its just makes things easier and has basically no effect on cost or charge. its worth it.
