Sanctuary Dynamics

I was wondering if anyone knew how Sanctuary worked exactly.

When I was a Dark Elf, one of my powers for being Dark Elf was to cast Sanctuary 50 points for 60 seconds. I casted whenever I had to fight more then one or two people, but I still got hit often.

I was wondering does 50 points of Santuary equal getting hit only 50% of the time?

I'm not sure... I've been trying to find out for the longest time, too.

There are a lot of spells in this game that I don't know the dynamics of. I have about 75+ spells in my spellbook, yet I only really use 10 of them. The rest are there either for enchanting or spellmaking.

I'm interested in finding out how many points are necessary for a CE item of hoptoad, for example... I tried to make one, but it was crazy expensive! Every single point cost about 7 enchantment points... :(

as far as i understand, sanctuary will change the chances of a blow landing on you...

100% sanctuary, nothing can hit you, melee or ranged...

shield works the same way...

hiro, you need a golden saint or ascended sleeper to make constant effect items....

you really don't need much jump anyway...40 points in an exquisite ring, and good strength and good acrobatic skill, you can jump from sayleen to balmora in about 8 jumps.. :p

Ok, but what I asked was how does Sanctuary work? Does 20 points equal 20% change to be missed. Does 50 points equal 50% chance to dodge? How does it work exactly?
