stuffed toy?

does anyone know what the use for (or deal is) with a stuffed toy item that I found in the game - it's got a weird tiger body and a man't torso (I think). I found it early on - I think in either the swamps near the moathouse or maybe a random encounter in or near some swamps. I was just randomly searching the nearby trees/fenns and voila!
any ideas? insider info?
are there any other such Easter Eggs (if that's what this is!) in the game?
help a newbie out!

If you identify it (via the spell of the same name) it turns out to be a Lamia figurine, which, as you might guess, summons a Lamia through the inventory key on the radial menu.

To tell the truth, I tried it out when I found it, and trust me, it'll be your best buddy for as long as it lasts.
Still, since I actually have a Paladin in my party, I didn't feel comfortable having such a beastly creature in my ranks.

The Lamia Figurine is somewhere AFTER the moathouse.
AndyAction: IIRC, it doesn't, but you have to think that since a Lamia is a Chaotic Evil creature (as I found in my 3.5 Edition copy of the Monster Manual) and a Paladin is Lawful Good, it just seems like blending together milk and tomato juice; it would more than likely be a horrid combination.

komet3k read my post "Figurnes." It tells you the location of the Lamin figure.
If you are looking for the other one the Fungus figurne. It is in Emorey Meadows in the Rainbow rock amoungest all the other sttuf with Tejorn pendent. Most people will sell, it I do not see why you should. It comes in handy for the giant fight in the Meadows and many others down the line.
Good Luck!

I think your Lamia info here is from 2nd ed. Ad&d rules, ther may be some differences in the new 3.5 Edition. But one ting is the same, the Lamia is Chaotic Evil.
But your Paladin will not fall when using the Fig. , neither will he fall by using the other Fungus Fig.

The old monster manual stats sates by weapon it's one... the Lamia you refered to gets three (by claw) even though it's armed, it has 9d10+50 HD while the one you can summon gets two with 9d10+60... the one you summon is not as intellegent (5 points less) and has only one spell type for use while the one you meet has two types of spells available to cast....
