East Empire Company Crossroads

I'm planning my first visit to Soltheim with my current (see below) character soon. I haven't gone to Mournhold yet, or done the Dwemer Puzzle Box quest yet, so there's A LOT yet to be done with this character, but anyway, I've always chosen to aid Falco. What happens if you aid the pompus arsehole? I'm asking because I'd like to play something a little different this time, but don't want to miss out on the excessive gold that's given out, or the Stalheim weapons... Any help most appricated.

Speaking of the East Empire Company, how do you join the club or compamy anyway?

Spoilerski-alert
If you side with the "pompous a-hole", you don´t get Stahlrim weapons from Nords near Skaal-village, or so I have heard. That´s why I side with Falco.

OK. Guess I'll be playing the same East Empire Company storyline again.

Is that when you talk to certain guards and they tell you that some guy in a fort (whatever, my memory is poor) needs outsider help, then another tells you that you've been asked to go to him specifically?

Or are you referring to Larrius Varro at Fort Moonmoth?

I think the one I'm talking about probably is the one at Moonmoth, but I'm still interested in meeting these other two guys

If you have the Bloodmoon expansion, then head for Solstheim. You can take boat from Khuul to Fort Frostmoth. East Empire Companys guy can be found upstairs of Imperial Cult chapel in the fort.

I think of all the faction quests East Empire Company is one of the best. Telvanni is good, and Imperial Legion rocks, but EEC is underrated in my opinion.

I've chosen to side with Carincius or however you spell his name, and you DO get Stalhiem weapons. He himself can make them for you, and he also seems to give out a greater reward each time for completing quests. It is certianly worth playing through this way, just to experiance what I'm on about.

*Don't read if you don't want to know little bits of the plot*
Hey, digging this thread up again ... because:
I've got to Solstheim and I'm doing the East Empire Company Quest, I haven't done the other (one where you go into a cave with imperial legion people who attack you with annoying paralyse weapons.)
Anyway, my problem is that the miners found the tomb in the Mines and I've been sent North to speak with the Nordic outcast called Graring. I get there alright but they won't let me speak to them, they say something like "We don't deal with your type, begone." and then I am annoyingly forced to say goodbye
Do I have to do the other quest first or something?
Please help! Kudos.

When you get there they should be fighting some bandit. Either watch as they kill him, or join in and kill him, and then they'll tell you to talk to thier boss (Graring), and he'll help you out.

I didn't see any bandit, and there was no fighting nor a body. Although I couldn't see much as it was snowing (which really slows down my comp for some reason.) They just kept telling me to go away leaving me with the only option to say goodbye to them.
I'll try again tomorrow maybe.
