I've heard talk of this sword. I've played the game through many times as many different characters, and never seen it. Is it real? Is it just another name for Goldbrand? If not where can I get it? BTW, I know about Goldbrand and Eltonbrand, so I'm not getting the name mixed up.

OK, I've looked about on the internet and it seems Bluebrand is another name for Eltonbrand. Could somebody lock this thread now?

tell me about this "bluebrand". I have failed to ever hear about it until now. I did look it up and found a very small amount of vague input... does anybody here have it? What does it do?

I heard it was just another name for Eltonbrand, a sword aqquired from Goldbrand by using an easter egg. For detials on how to get Goldbrand, just consult the forum.

Bluebrand is almost impossible to get unless you know how... But ill tell you :)

1. Become a vampire
2. Go to AidRuhn and speak with Sirlionwe in the Mages Guild. Ask her about "someone killed".
3. If you have mark, use it near her.
4. Follow her directions to Sashev. Remember you cant use transportation! (silt striders or mages guild teleport)
5. Kill Sashev and take his ring.
6. Use recall, or return to Sirlionwe BUT DO NOT TALK TO HER YET.
7. Drop your gold so that you have exactly 11711.
8. Now talk to her and she'll say something about vampire dust. (you wont need to get any) And she should finally say "TO HELL WITH CARONA" or something and POOF goldbrand will be eltonbrand.

Now only one problem.... youre still a vampire...

Is this Eltonbrand any good? Can someone post the stats for it if you know?

I believe it has the same base damage as goldbrand, but with 50pts frost and 50pts shock, AND 50pts fire on strike rather than Goldbrand's enchantments, but I could be totally and utterly wrong.

I found that Eltonbrand really isn't that great of an imrovement on Goldbrand. It's cheesy, and I don't consider it worth all the effort you went through to get it.

Unless, of course, you enjoy being a vampire. :p
