So far the best I've found is Daedric, which you already have (judging from your signature).
You might also be interested about the right and left fist of randagulf, the two most powerful gauntlets I've found. One increases agility and the other strength and both have higher armour rating than the daedric gauntlets. I found them on a mission where I had to kill one of Dagoth's servants (the one on the main storyline who tries to persuade you to join). Anyway, there are those trough-like open chest things, and they're hidden between the back of one of them and the wall.
Sorry I can't be of more help (or be more specific).

I personally favour Her Hands Greeves, but I believe that Deadric Greeves have a better armour rating, so you're sorted.

Dagoth Gares, but what if you say you join him, because DM you were saying you would find it cool to join the bad side, but that was impossible. What happens if you say you'll join them, I suppose you can't join them else someone would have done it.

They probably say "I'd like to believe you, but it wouldn't fit in with the storyline of the game you're playing would it? Now come on, kill me and get it done with."

You can but you must be a member of House Telvanni. Its a quest for Therenna, or whatever the spelling is.

I do believe that daedric greaves have an enchant charge of 60 points. If that is the case, you can give it a CE of +12 STR. Which (multiplied by 5) would let you carry 60 lbs more. Since how much you can carry is 5 times what your STR is.
It's what I do, I've got 180 STR on my vampire monk. So I can carry 900 lbs. +50 feather would only let you carry 50 lbs more.

Ah.. I thought it might of been an item, 180 Str on an item is pretty appealing ya know?

No I just have several items that give equal to +80 str. I'm part of Clan Berne which gives extra stats to my monk abilities.

Ahh I see, is it possible to join a Vampire Clan if you've already got Corpus/done the main quest?
