WOW! I didn't know the game did that :o

That's so cool. I wonder how much damage the real heavenly lightning hits for...

You weren't wearing the boots of grounding, I suppose :D :D

Happens when you attack the red-robed fella in the candlekeep courtyard.

As for Bg2, maybe it was a call lightning spell?

Oh! Did he? I remember it was an insta-kill affair (well, being lvl 1 kind of makes it easier...). I was imagining wilderness lightning that randomly strikes you down ~~ that would be kool :D

The manual said he was protected by at least 3 gods, so I had to find out for myself ;)

That's exactly what it was, as I recall. Looked worse than it was as it only did 1d6 damage or something. Made me jump a few times. Think it only happened to characters in metal armour too.

This always took me by surprise in both BG1 as well as SoA. Actually, I can only think of it happening once or twice in SoA, and I am pretty sure that both times it happened in the druid grove. I am pretty sure that I checked to make sure it wasn't a call lightning spell, and indeed it happened both times before fighting any of the shadow druids. As for BG1, I seem to recall it happening in different areas, rain or sunshine. Quite unpredictable, but interesting.

well in really wasn't a call lighting spell,
no druids arround in was waiting for my party to gather before i could enter the fort ( shadow thiefs building) the only one who could have had a lighting spell was jaheira on the other side of the map.
maybe she still was pissed of because it dumped her :D
