Is it just me, or has the BG-SoA been getting a lot of action as of late?

It is wonderful :D

Sorry to interrupt here fable...however, in light of Herr Robnark's recent illuminations on toasty products (breadcrumbs would be included I presume), wouldn't Buck drench those breadcrumbs in marmite instead? :)

That's the substance the Czechs used to make to blow up stuff, innit? ;) :D

@Chanak - I swear that the first time I read your post you said "Marmot," as in those little, furry, rodent type things. After reading it again, and laughing hysterically, I realized you were talking about something else (I had to read the other thread to fully understand, though).

Thanks for the laugh, though.

It's hard to believe that there are actually people still playing that game for the first time, though. :D

Sadly, they missed most of the real party that occured here when the game was fresh. :) I'm even disaapointed that it took me so long to find this spot. :p

guh? here I am, little more than a glorified oxygen removal unit, happily wasting everybody's time and electricity, and now it turns out I'm some kind of public service.

Oxygen removal unit? Hmmm...I've always preferred "rock with lips" myself. More of a ring to it. :D

Hey, am I just dreaming or is there a swarm of new mods comming for SoA and ToB?

I mean, I dont have the tools to make them, but I'd like to place my own ideas on screen.

Icelus has returned to the forum, has a new release, UU is launching a 'new' cheeseguide, and lots of people are asking for mods...

Hm...

SoA Ressurection??? :D

I can just see it: The day After: TOB. No Child, only the party scattering.

That'll be cool. :D

I suspect the new mods have a lot to do with it, given the general dearth of quality RPGs presently out there....

I'm still on my first time.. let me explain.

First, I got BG.. which I was playing happily until, at some dark day, all my files were deleted.

Okay, so I mourned.. and went on with other games intending to get back later (really losing my character and saves was the biggest reason.. all those hours spent.. wrist-wrenching dice-rolling..). I still have to do that, by the way.

So, being busy I on a happier day, noticed BG2 was out and for sale with a rather low price.. so, I couldn't help myself and bought it.

Of course I began playing, but even so, it has moved computers and different OS's and I have played other games in the same time as well. So, there you have it. I hope to pick up BG after I finish BG2, then to get TOSC and then TOB, then NWN and/or IWD. And perhaps that planescape game too, if it is out for mac. I heard it's pretty good (besides, Planescape rocks).

Of course, this is just the BG-line of games. I also hope to start my first MMORPG experience with World of Warcraft, and I want to get Halo too, for example. And there's still SWGB (StarWars Galactic Battlegrounds) which I have but haven't finished yet, not to mention other games which I don't mind to replay or which have add-ons/mods.

With all that, I often wonder how people get to finish games so swiftly. There's simply so much to choose from. :)

-edit- Which comes (was released?) first.. Never Winter Nights or Ice Wind Dale? Or is one of them not part of the series (which I count as being able to use a character from the previous game in the series)?

Hey, I've never player Morrowind. I am planning on getting it pretty soon. Because of time constraints though, I find it very hard to play 2 RPGs at the same time...

And now that I've got the "BG2 bug" again, it will probably end up being a while before I have time to devote to Morrowind...

the original Icewind dale came out first to milk the infinity engine for all its worth before they got all happy with extra dimensions and that.
