Reaching Solstheim on XBOX?

So I guess the thread's name explains itself...
I just read a thread where some guy mentioned that he was playing xbox, yet he was still talking about travelling to solstheim. I thought that was exclusively for PC?
Can xboxers like me get tribunal or bloodmoon (I assume that's where Fort frostmouth (sp?) and solstheim is...)?

PS: I apologize if this has been answered before, but if anyone has a problem with my little question look up my thread on defining noobs... :p

Xboxers can get the Game of the Year edition, which includes both expansions.

...but i believe i have the game of the year edition (it's silver-colored, & says goty and rpgoty on the cover), & i have seen nothing of solstheim... Do I have to do anything special? Is it on a different disc?

If you told me 'all I have to do is talk to XXX & you'll get there', I would be really happy... :)

2 ways to hear about this island to the north. 1 is to talk to a guard about latest rumours. If it doesn't work, talk to several. He'll mutter something about his son being sent to Fort Frostmouth, and Daddy thought that he brought his son up well, but obviously he failed at something. If that doesn't bring up a response, you may not have the GOTY edition. The second way will instantly tell you if you have it, and if the first way fails, you should try this way before writing off the first. I only talk about the first method first because unless you are in Ald'Ruhn its eaisier to do.

Outside the Ald'Ruhn mages guild is an old man with very little brainpower. He's just standing there, about a foot south of the main door. He's been placed in the game as part of Solstheim.

After either (or both) of these two methods have been done, you can ask anyone about 'Solshiem' (even totally obscure characters in the middle of the wilderness). I believe Vivec and Almalexia won't talk about it. Everyone else will. They'll whine about it being 'terrible' and then tell you that there's a boat from Khull. Go there, and find an Arognian informing you that he is ready to captain the 'last boat to Solstheim'. He can take you there.

Its a lot of fun, and a lot better than Tribunal in my opinion. Raven Rock is a fantastic distraction, and I found myself resting next to Falco until the next quest became avaliable.

Good luck

I'm not sure, but IIRC you don't need to talk to the guy near the Ald'Ruhn Mages Guild, or the other person you mentioned. At least, I never did. But I have the pc-version.

You don't have to talk to them, I just had a lot of time on my hands.

There are actually 3 versions of Xbox Morrowind:

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Platinum Hits (says game of the year and also RPG of the year, but does not have the actual Expansions on them, Silver case)
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of The Year Edition (Has both Expansions packed into it, including the original game as well, Gold Case)

Thanks i4v02v95i5p09k9, you figured it out for me there... I have the second version, the silver-colored one... So much for that, huh?
Guess I'll be looking around for the goty-version then.

Oh, another question on this topic...
If i get the goty-edition, i assume solstheim is automatically a part of the game (just go to khuul, blahblah... I don't think i could miss it)
But what else is there? I heard tribunal & bloodmoon were both included, but what is that? Are there even more areas in addition to solstheim? Can we modify anything at all??

*hoping*

If Tribunal is also included then you can also travel to Mournhold.

sweet...

Are the areas any big, btw? How big are mournhold & solstheim combined, and how much playtime can you get there?

Are there quests that go across between vvardenfell & the expansions?

Mournhold is a weekend, Bloodmoon is a week, at 3 hours a night and 6 at weekends. I'm pretty sure all the quests apart are based in one place apart from a couple of Solstheim ones such as the Amulet of Infectious Charm, and getting the bitter green petals.

just bought the goty edition today. i found soltheim ok, but how to i get to mournhold???? also, what is classed as a "high level character" for doing the bloodmoon quests?

Recommend at minimum a level-20 character for Bloodmoon - even higher for newbies (just to have the health to survive the hits you take).

To get to Mounhold, sleep, preferably for a long stretch, to trigger the appearance of an assassin. After killing him, go talk to any guard.

I've been attacked in the wilderness and in the Ald'Ruhn guild of Mages, so no, it doesn't matter where.

hahaha it all depends on the level of geek your talking to. :D Some of us play all day long to make up for our lack of a life. Some of us very much have a life, and don't get to play very often. Then there's other of us who have a life, but just never sleep so we can play games all night. (I've made it to level 20 or so in a matter of days. I WAS VERY SICK, OKAY? :p ) hehehe

Im somehting like level 55 i think... sigh... i wouldnt suggest getting that high, it kinda takes any challenge out of it, and therefore a lot of the fun. its just not as satisfying to be the archmage of the mages guild if in 2 hits with trusty true flame trebonius is dead... easily the fastest way to advance is to buy training, if you are level 4 then your stats are low and training is cheaper, if you train 10 levels it will say 'rest and meditate' you know the drill, dont sleep in anyones beds though, they get pissed off easy. i guess being an adventure doesnt make you the best smelling of fellows. :(
