I've looked on as many sites as I could find, but I still can't find a mod that stops enchanted items from being so damn shiny!
If anyone knows where a mod is that lets you lessen (or preferably remove) the shinyness from these weapons I'd be grateful.

I'm just fed up of looking like some I'm plastered in PVC!

Thanks.

Well, I'm not sure where it is either, I just had a look for you, but I can't find anything either. I suggest enchanting your armour and weapons with Mysticsm, not only does that look the coolest (by far, and it looks much better than the original) with deadric, but it has what is in my opinion the most useful cast when strikes in the game, which is absorb health.

I thought enchanting was enchanting, I didn't know you could enchant with Mysticism... Which NPC can I go to that allows me to do constant effect? I've done it before, but for some reason I can't get it to work again.

And if anyone can make a mod that removes the shinyness ... Kudos, kudos.

I still dont see the big deal over drain/ab. health.. Maybe one of you could explain to me the reason to enchant with Absorb?

In answer to both questins, any NPC that is capabile of enchanting is fine, Galbider in the Balmora Mages Guild is one such NPC. You must have the soul of a golden saint or acended sleeper in a grand gem or Azura's Star, or of course Vivec/Almalexia in Azura's star, and you can make a CE item, and absorb health means that you get the health. If I'm on 50/100 hit points and I hit with a weapon that absorbs health 10pts for 5 seconds, it will take away 50 health points from my target and give it to me, hence I'll have 100/100 and they'll have 50/100 (assuming they started with 100, and the actualy hit of the weapon didn't hurt them at all).

Its the best in my opinion. Also looks the coolest.

The plug-in "No glow" that you can find in Morrowind Summit Will help, just go to the Mod Database and search for it. You'll see that it really works wonders ^_^

Took a few mins to find it, it's actually called 'No-glo' without the 'w', but I found it in the end, totally splendiferous! It works a treat, thanks for that Adahn, Kudos.

So.. say I have a Daedric Dai-Katana, and I enchanted it with 10 absorb health for 5 seconds.. I go up to a guard and smack him in the forehead, it only takes away 50 Health from him regardless that the Dai-Katana does 1 to 60?

Well, I'm not really experienced with this game, but I assume it does the damage of your Dai-Katana plus the spells on the weapons. That is how it works with Fire Damage etc. though. I don't think there is a difference....?

By the way, is Drain Health and Absorb Health the same? Or atleast have the same effect?
