First off in the 4th level of the TOEE I have found 3 scrarab type necklaces off a few high class people that I killed. Does anyone know what these things are and do?
Secondly on the inventory screen at the bottom where it shows your armor...it goes ring, necklace, ring and blank spot. Anyone knows what this blank spot is?
Lastly, What does the rope of Entanglement do?

I think the blank spot is for lockpicks.
I'm thinking that's what my fighter/rogue has in her blank spot.

the normal scarab necklace is some kind of gem - just sell them...
but you can find 2 (?) scarab necklace of protection against poison or just craft them yourself...
the slot is for the the thiefs tools, bardic instruments, or ioun stones (you can only craft them when using the Co8 patch)

okay, but what does the rope of Entanglement do? I have 2 of them.
Also Dragon you mentioned ioun stones. Who can craft these and what do they do?
Plus to add I hope were on the same page here. I am not talking about a Scarab Necklace that has a pink stone and a gold chain.
I am questioning about an actual beetle type necklace that has some funky lettering in it's title. It looks like a big beetle and I pull it off the Wizard after killing him and I got another one from the guard walking the halls before I did the big fight with H'boy and the rest of the goons.
The actual name of the Scarab is called
Black TZGY Scarab
I just wanna make sure before and if I do decide to sell them.

Rope of Entanglement "was" supposed to have an 'Entangle' effect on an enemy, used on the radial menu, but it is a BUGGED item so just sell them for some nice coin.
To craft ion stones you need a lvl 10 creator with 'Craft Wondrous Item' feat. Silverdragons FAQ has a post on what they do.
Black TZGY Scarab These are the holy symbols of Zuggtmoy, given to her trusted servants. They don't do anything so just sell them for some gold.
