Nearly finished chapter one, and i have virtually every +1 weapon except greatsword, I even have some +2 weapons, shuriken and hand axes. Does snyone know what level you have to be to get a +1 greatsword from a chest.

I mean I even have a +1 two bladed sword and I would've thought they'd be less common than a greatsword.

Also does bashing chests make any difference to whats in them??
Becasue its random its hard to tell, I seem to get less stuff when bashing but it could just be bad luck

Bad luck, almost all items are random.
Try opening a large chest (usually after a big boss) a few times.

But you will find some beter later in the game.

In chapter 1 of the original NwN some of the locations of magical weapons is fixed, because the treasure scripts running in the game aren't dropping high enough treasure to include magical weapon (yet).
I seriously belive I've found a Greatsword +1 each time I've gone through chapter 1 at a fixed location, but can not at all remember where at the moment.
Think I better start another chapter 1 game and find it then




I don't think bashing chests have anything to do with what they spawn of items.

If you have the Weapon Focus : Greatsword, you are very likely to find a +1 greatsword many times in the game, rather than finding +1 clubs...

But maybe you don't want to start allover again...

I play a fighter (just finished chapter 1) and found several +greatswords.Sorry,dont remember where.Upgradet the one I weare with a piece of Adamante in the forge and is fantastic good so far.

Hi Ravenbane,its me again.
I just finished he final-mission of chapter one.Looted some boxes,before I went off with captured Desther and found another already upgraded greatsword.Its called "vermin`s bane".

In my last chapter one running, I found that the "Twenty In A Quiver" shop in the docks disctrict also seemed to have a +1 version of each weapon.
