Technical Difficulties

I know I'm new here, so I don't know if this should be elsewhere, but here goes:
I installed IWD2 a few days ago, and was playing happily. However, yesterday I started the game up, and things were..messed up to say the least. Everything was extremely pixelated (moreso on the bottom and top of the screen), so much so that most words could not be made out. There were also horizontal lines spaced out throughout the monitor, and I haven't a clue as to why this is happening. I managed to resolve this by running IWD2 in windowed mode, but that's extremely annoying. I also tried playing around with the configuration tool, messing around with the different resolutions, but to no avail. My only solution is windowed mode so far

System Specs:
Dual P4 2.8 Ghz Processors
1024 DDR Ram
GeForce 4600 (or something)
and a dual monitor set up (IWD2 would just run in one monitor while the other monitor'd be blank)
Edit : Both monitors run at 1280x1024 resolution, and I had the game running at 1024x768
