...seems that the official patch list solves less problems then the Co8 patch...
...does anyone who played the game with Co8 already has any experience with the 2nd patch ?
...and will it work with the Co8 patch ?

Yes I have both installed (The 2nd patch and the 2nd Co8 patch)
The game works fine. The only reason I installed the 2nd official patch was to clean up some of the dialogs as I didn't experience any problem with the looping bugs or other bugs they eliminated. Now then the Co8 patch fixes most things and actually makes the game enjoyable to play - rather than frustrating - but it does screw aound with the AI in the game thus making the NPC's (opponents) not quite as effective...
Here are the things I consider really wrong with the game and yet to be resolved - even in the Co8 patches available.
Interface bugs - which affect scrolling or crashes - should never have been released in a consumer product.
Spells and items which don't work - fix them, and not one at a time.
NPC's - blatantly stupid... thier looting habits make no sense in any solution presented so far - they should be interested in items which pertain to thier class and should actually negotiate about the booty they loot... they should also have a weighted outlook towards the party based on how they are treated. This should be true of opponents as well.

I know that the Co8 patch had those problems in the earlier versions, but unless I'm mistaken they've fixed them in the 3.0.2 patch. Even if I am, they have manual fixes availble for both the AI and the looting problems.

When did the official 2nd patch come out? Or are you talking about the one that was released in November?

No, the official patch that was released last month.
silverdragon: The only major bug I've encountered so far after starting over was in Nulb with the "Eye of the Tiger" quest. I'd fight him, but no matter what, Tolub would accuse my brawling character of cheating (which he shouldn't be), and attack me.

had the same problem with the old patches...
...if I used my "kensai"-build (with monk & rogue levels) for brawling...
...but if you do any kind of lethal damage to him he will attack you...
so best use the non-lethal option and avoid monks and rogues...
this way my barb 1 - wizard X won the brawling without any problems...

The thing is that he is doing non-lethal damage (which is what the brawl is set at) and he STILL calls me a cheater.

...can't remember exactly anymore, either the sneak attack or one of the monk feats always do lethal damage...
...but I'm not 100% sure...
...tried it several times and won the fight without beeing accused cheating...

Well, I don't have a monk. My party is a Paladin, a Barbarian, a Cleric of Moradin, a Rogue, and a Wizard.
Also, do you have the second official patched installed?

as I wrote - not yet (not even sure if I will start the whole game another time just for trying the new patch) - but seems to be exactly the same problem as before...
