Multiple crashes

I have searched and searched and can't seem to find a thread that describes so many chrashes as I and others I know of have experienced. From about the 2nd level of Temple it get's almost impossible to play the game since it starts crashing more and more. It crashes when you ascend or descend a level (especially the latter), when you load and save, and sometimes even if you just level up. In other words the game's not worth playing and the second patch hasn't fixed anything. Am I the only one with this problem? Any solutions out there?
Thx in advance,
Rex

No you are not many people have experienced such crashes with there game.
The only way my honey and are were able to fix such crashes is downloading this program:
http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_softw ... _tools.cfm
Once it was installed properly an icon of a Lighting Bolt would be shown on your tool bar next to your clock.
Right Click on that and scroll to Emulation then click Securom.
Now there are two options.
You can use this program to burn the game by using the Program Alcohol directly on to your hard drive meaning you dont need to use the play disk for TOEE.
Or you can simply just use the Daemon Tools and use that alone with out burning anything.
In any case either way you choose to do this it will crash less then what it did.
Once in a great while it will completely crash out but most of the time it will just fold back in to the tool bar as if you pressed ALt and Tab and all you need is to click on the game and it will go back to the full window screen.
If this doesnt help you then I say stick in a big box and ship it back to Atari withl a wonderful note attached to it (<-----scarcasium

Thank you very much for your reply.
I can't seem to make it work though. I guess you have to make an iso-image before you can mount it right? But when I create an image from the disk I can mount it but it still requires the cd'rom to play the game and it still crashes when I try to load a saved game.
What am I missing?

Right.
In order to burn the game to your drive you need to take your games that are already saved and put them in a marked folder to find them easier later.
Remove the game completely from your computer even the patches.
Then open Alcohol and copy both the install disk and the play disk to your drive. Once they are completed. Remove the disks from your drive and use the reinstalled program of TOEE that is burned in to your drive.
Redown load the game and apply the patches again. Open your saved game file Folder and put it in the same folder as your new TOEE game is.
This will take you a good hr or 2 hrs to burn and reload every thing but it's worth it.
This will not fix how ever the whole slow downs in the the Nodes but it helps the crashes.

Hello again,
I have tried to follow the described procedure but I can't seem to make it work. I copied the files from both disks to my hard drive and used daemon tools to install the game and then applied patch # 2. But I can't load the game because it detects a "conflict with disc emulator software". I even tried to put the original play-disc back in but no luck with that either. What to do?
