Early, or mid-way, thru the game? Up to level 8 or 10, but still need some cash? today I stumbled across the richest tomb I've found anywhere in the whole game!

SPOILER BELOW READ NO FURTHER IF YOU LIKE TO DO THINGS THE HARD WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on my way up to do the Ashlander Nerevarine quest when I happened to see the entrance to a small cave, just south of the Daedric ruins between the shipwreck and the Urishkalu camp. I went in and had to kill a couple of sorceresses and Scamps (watch out for the sorceresses, one of them can summon a greater bonelord who will sap your strength if he touches you).
I opened a wooden gate after killing them all and found a pool of water. Diving through it, I fought two Dremora lords and unlocked a big, trapped door. Inside, I had to kill a Golden saint. Lying on the body were a Daedric war axe, an ebony broadsword, a Daedric club, shield, and a cool helm/Daedric mask. There were two large chests filled with gold and jewels and a bunch of silver daggers, plus two other chests I haven't opened yet. All told, it looks like $250,000 or so worth of loot, depending on what's in the other chests. Have Divine Intervention ready to go, because you'll be LOADED with loot when you're done. Good luck!

I believe I know the cave to which you're referring - in that area where you found the loot, did you happen to notice the shield hanging high on the wall? (get it by levitating or using telekinesis.) It's one of the best heavy shields in the game ;)

If that is the cave of Ibar-dad then you just stumbled upon Eliedon's Ward :D (inside the room with hte chests near the ceiling)

Though its enchantment spell isnt very good, it provides great protection.

I was too loaded down with loot . . .

too look high up on the walls, but I am planning to re-enter the chamber when I come back through to see if I missed anything. I was lugging so much stuff when I Divine Intervention-ed back to Gnisis that I had to quaff Sujamma to carry it around - four jugs got me all the way to the Grand Bazaar in Mournhold without having to make any return trips! I kind of wish I hadn't sold the Daedric mask of Inspiration; my Wood Elf is a light armor wearer, but it looked cool enough I kind of wish I had kept it. The Daedric Battle Axe was worth about $50,000, but it weighed 90 pounds. Great stuff, Sujamma.

Sure enough

I had missed the shield and an urn full of scrolls. The shield (Eilon's Ward) was priced at $200,000 - I actually got $130,000 or so for it at the Great Bazaar in Mournhold - I had to stay in the Armorer's shop for about a week or two, buying back stuff to get her down to her $10,000 max, waiting 24 hours, selling, buying . . . but it was worth it! I'd pack the thing myself, but it's heavy and my Wood Elf is a light armor type dude. Plus its enchantment isn't CE, which is a pain.
