Farewell, oh musical inovator.
Yeah, it's sad. He made such an impact on American (if not world) music, and now he's joined so many others in the sky - John Denver, Johnny Cash, and so many others. Nothing much else to say except that he will be missed by millions.

He broke the barriers between Gospel, R&B, Jazz and Country...He passed today but through his music, and the influence it has had on the progression of music in general, he will leave an endelible mark.

Very sad news indeed... Watching a documentary about him at this very moment, very touching. Rest in peace, Ray.
