Which is better?? and what is the reason one is better than the other?


sorry if this topic was mentioned before but im using 28k modem right now and browsing through the threads is awfully painful

Well... Blaster Rifles are more powerful but you can only wield one. Blaster Pistols are weak but you can wield two at the same time. It depends on which feats you have to determine which is better. If you have the dueling feat you would do better with a single blaster pistol. If you have two weapon dueling you would do better with 2 pistols. I am not sure which feat helps the rifles though. Also there are other feats like Weapon Focus: Pistol and Weapon Focus: Rifle that add attack modifiers to the certain weapon.

However there is another type of gun that you didn't mention. They are heavy weapons. These are very powerful weapons that you can only wield if you have the heavy weapons proficency feat. You get the feat automatically if you are a soldier. Heavy Weapons are just like stronger rifles. They follow the same rules are rifles too. Heavy weapons include weapons like: Reapeating blasters (Canderous has a special one) and Blaster Canons. (I saw a blaster canon once at the czerka shop on Kashyyk)
