ok after working hard to beat Shadows of Amn, i got me some equipment i cant use but dont want to sell, such as Carsomyr. i worked hard for these and dont want others to get them so easily. if i store them in one of the containers in my pocket plain, will they stay there and not disapear?

Yes, the pocket plane is a safe place that doesn't reset. Your items won't be erased.

Yep - that's what they're there for.
If you leave things just lying around, they disappear after a time, but anything placed in a container stays there. I once left things in a pile on the pocket plane floor, and they went missing after a while (and very annoying it was too - I kicked Cespinar's backside all the way to Baator that week!)
In SoA I always kept unassembled pieces in a barrel just outside of Cromwells place. Even though it was right next to a thieves guild, nothing ever went missing.
