i've got to the cambion who gives you the deck of many things. by give i mean i had to kill him.
i can't pass through the portal on the right hand side. i know this is the one to get to the next level.
i might add that after i beat him i couldn't get through the portal then either so i found my way out of the maze and finished SoA. now ive just done yaga shura's heart and want to finish wk before i go after the giant himself.
so, have i lost the item i got from the cambion to leave, and if i have, what the hell is it so i can add it in shadowkeeper?

The cambion only posessed one of the three jewels (and rod) that are necessary to open the portal. The other two jewels are elsewhere on the level, so you have to search for them. Otherwise, use Shadow Keeper to spawn in the rod itself.

Spoilers:
Its called the Scepter of Radiance if you want to SK it in and its classed under 'wands'...there's two versions, you'll need the complete version to exit the level. All the bits you need should still be around if you can be bothered to back track through the maze; Yakman has the empty rod, the named fiends that want you to join in their private Blood War have two of the gems and the deck cambion has the last.

AFAIK you don't need to talk to him, its in his little den along with his journal...but if you're SKing it in, no worries.

I'm assuming you collected all three gems and repaired the Scepter...
If so, then try placing the scepter in an ordinary item slot rather than in a bag. I found that the portal down from level 2 won't work if you have the chromatic demon's key in the bag. Perhaps the portal to level 4 is similar?
By the way - my map of level 3 can be found at:

If you didn't talk to yakman a second time, how did you manage to get past the maze? well, one of the scrolls or items around yakman provides a walkthrough for the maze. I'm thinking walking through the maze unaided would be rather frustrating...

on a random note: your going to fight yaga? if you a good fighter in need of levels I advise that you massacer his army first.
PS: it seem like an endless pile of wimps at first but I've found that you can kill them all with Foe Bane/shield/berserk rage
PPS: mass slaughter=level up
PPPS: watchers keep hard

araknid, i went for the succubi when i first met them an kinda fuddled around from there.
as for Yaga-Shura, he was kinda........easy. my paladin and mazzy have some whirlwinds in the bag and them and Ano just blitzed him. granted they are all 5 mil exp because i only have 4 people in the party, but it doesnt stop Sendai's lair majorly sucking.
my F/M/C solo gets off the ground soon though

Very frustrating, but quite possible. It took me about two days before I actually got back to the Compass Room, followed Yakman again and realized that I was supposed to loot his camp site.
Yaga Shura wasn't so bad. It was Sendai and Draconis that gave me problems in the game. All the other Bhallspawn are mostly wimps if you've got a descent leveled party, which is why its recommended you hit Watcher's Keep early.
