Ok, so I donwloaded this program because I wanted to change some of the NPC's to another class (I want jaheira as a shapeshifter! :P ) but I don't know how. As I understand it, you have to add all abilities from previous levels manually, right? So how do I do that?

Also, if I change an NPC's alignment, will he still become unhappy as if he were of his old alignment (e.g. Korgan becoming unhappy at rep 20 even if he's LG)

Thanks :)

simply open up sk, load saved game, then change jaheira's kit, from none to shapeshifter. leave her class alone. then change her level from what ever it is, to o, o...don't change the third value.

a lawful good korgan will be happy your rep is 20...but his comments will be bloodthirsty and a little funky...
doesn't that leave you with some extra weapon proficiencies and some extra HP?
Well, you can take away the extra hp's and profs and anything else you like. SK is a game editor, it allows you to play the game the way you'll like. But the way you like it doesn't have to be powergaming. :)

Erm..is it normal that archers can't dual class? If so, how do I dual class minsc the archer to anything in SK?
Erm..is it normal that archers can't dual class? If so, how do I dual class minsc the archer to anything in SK?
just change his class into whatever you want after he's gained a few levels...archer bonuses are all preserved in the affects tab... :p so simply change his class, and his archer perks and bonuses will remain... ;)

Ok thanks :)

Another thing: Minsc and Jaheira's hp are wrong after I've changed their class, but no matter how often I edit it, it stays the same when I load the savegame. What causes that?

What do you mean by wrong? Not the correct amount, or not the amount you see in SK?

Not the correct amount.

What did you change his class to? For a 'proper' dual class, you'd actually select a multi-class like 'Fighter/Thief' for example. If you just changed it to 'Thief' then you're HP's are likely off because of the CON bonus.

However, you can't do a 'proper' dual class because Ranger's can't dual. If you really want the Archer kit, you can use the Generic Archer (Fighter kit) from the tactics mod instead. Pretty much the same, just no spells or alignment restrictions. And then you should be able to dual from within the game (assuming you have the right stats for it of course).
Not the correct amount.
did you change both numbers that specify hp???

can't remember off the top of my head, but there are two numbers you chang in sk...

also remember con bonuses will add to the total... ;)

Do you mean that if I set my hp to, say, 50 in SK, when I load my game the HP will be 50+con bonus?

SK HPs

Yes, I believe that's correct.
