Loading saved game problem

Im having this problem.
Having played half way the game in an other comuter, I saved the file of my last save game. Some months later i tryed to put my saved game in the mpsave file of icewind dale2, then I tryed to load it, but i could not find it. I also had saved the default file and put it in mpsave file but still I could not find my saved game. Could it be that the older comuter had WinNT and my new has WinXP? Thank you for your kind help.
