I love having my druid use the bone armor. It slows you down and weighs a ton but it looks great and has a high AC. Any other suggestions for a druid?

Well I know it's AC 8 but it's got a max dex of 1 and a spell failure of 35% and a skill check of -6 - It's a master work item though so you can enchant it.
Barbarian armor - Armor bonus 3, max dex 5 spell failure 15% -1 skill check and is masterwork so you can take it up to AC 6.
Master Work leather - Armor bonus 2, max dex 6 spell failure 10% 0 to skill check, can be made into AC 5.
masterwork hide - Armor bonus 3, max dex 4 spell failure 20% -3 skill check, can be upgraded to AC 6.

Druids and Clerics are not subject to spell failure. !
The type of armor for your Druid is very limited, since he/she can't wear metal armor, and your DEX score should decide what to wear.
The Bone armor counts as 'light' armor & nonmetal for druids.
If you have a Druid with a Dex of 13 or less the bone armor is perfect, if you are strong enough (it's heavy - 50 Ibs)
If you have a higher DEX you are better off enchanting your own Brb/Light Armor AND the Bone Helmet you get from the troll.
Hope to help

Bone helmet
Thnaks, I forget to mention the helmet! You are right about the dex bonus I guess there are better choices but it does make your druid look unique though.
Thnaks, I forget to mention the helmet! You are right about the dex bonus I guess there are better choices but it does make your druid look unique though.
The druid can be what you want as a second FTR/Healer/Archer depending on the STR/DEX scores. High STR - low DEX is a good FTR with lonspears (reach) in the second row. High DEX with elven Druids is a natural archer.
Even a Half-Orc makes a decent combat-druid due to Strenght, and Druids in the second row don't need INT or CHA.
But remember that an Elven Druid IS THE BEST ENCHANTER YUO CAN GET, freeing your Cleric for other feats.
A lvl 10 Elven Druid can make:
* special elven items
* +3 weapons
* Flaming weapons
* Shocking weapons
* Frost weapons
* Icy Burst weapons
* Shocking Burst weapons
* All Gauntlets/Bracers/Medallions +6
* Most Ioun Stones
* Most Wondrous Items
Ypo need a Mage for Keen weapons and a Good Good Cleric for Holy weapons and a Lawful Lawful Cleric for Axiomatic wepons, and a Cleric for Cleaving weapons.

I gave the bone armor to my dear friend Scorp, the hill giant npc. Now he has AC 38, which has come in very handy in some tough fights, esp in the Water Node with that demon.
