Working in game cheats

To use the cheats, bring up the command console by hitting a shift ~ (tilde).

Once in the console, to level up your party, type:

levelup

There are other cheats in there, we just need to discover them. Experiment and post your findings here. I mistakenly thought a post on the atari forums was removed. I looked in the wrong area. My apologies to anyone affected by my mistake.

Is there a way in the command console to level up with maximum hit points?

Don't know how to maximize hit points, haven't found that one yet. And my bad on the suppression issue. It was just on another page. Apologies to those affected.

pointless, but oh well...

press [Shift]+[`] to access it.

type: "die" [obviously without the quotations]
affect: instantly brings the first character in your party to -1 life and he/she begin to bleed to death until they either stabalize or die. Type it again for the next person in line to have the same thing happen to them.

I'll post more as I find em'.
I'm currectly looking for a ressurect or gain life

Exit cheats

I know how to access the command mode and I know some of the cheats I can use but I don't seem to be able to exit command mode. How do I do that?

Press shift-~ again to close the console. Sometimes you need to hold it a sec.

Does anyone know how to give more EXP to just One character? Say the one spending it all on making items?

I never agreed with that rule in 3rd addition. Previously in all the D&D games you GAINED Exp by making items, then they did a complete 180 and it just doesn't feel right- There was a nice balance where the charater had a chance of losing CON permanently in the old games, and of course material and time costs kept the creating of items balanced.

I guess they did the experience cost thing to make crafting a costly venture. If your fighter wants his +2 sword to be +3, he owes a big favor to the wizard who makes it for him. This builds group relationships as well. Anyway, I think that's why they did it.

But as for your question, you can set any character's exp to whatever you like with the following console command:

game.party[X].stat_base_set(stat_experience,Y)

Where X = 0 for party member 1, 1 for party member 2, etc.; and where Y = the experience total you want them to have.

There may be a way to just give an experience boost as well with:

game.party[X].experience_adj (Y)

but I can't recall offhand if this works or not. This should all be in the sticky thread above on console commands. Hope it helps! :)

Thanks again LP for the tip on EXP for just a single character- I will use it to just keep my Cleric and Wizard even with the rest of the group.

How do I use/pull up console commands? I have never done that sooo....

I am assuming that the first part of this thread (the Topic!) is realating to what I need to do right?

I would hit the tidle key (~) then type Lord Plothos' command inserting 1 for my cleric that is the 2nd party member, and say 24500 for the exp I want him to be at? Is that correct? Also LP says to hit Shift tidle to get back out of the console, but I have to hit shift to MAKE a tidle (some backwards comma thing is there if you don't shift) SO I am assuming that I just hit the tidle key once again to get out of console commands?

Correct. All you do to bring up the console (after you have patch 2 installed, which you do) is hold shift and press the key that's variously a ` or a ~. (If you have a Brittish keyboard, you'll need to press the other sign for logical negation, which is not on a US keyboard, but is in the same place, next to 1 and below escape.)

Yep, to make party member 2 have 24500 xp, after bringing up the console, tyep this:

game.party[1].stat_base_set(stat_experience,24500)

Press enter to execute it, then ~ again to close the console.
