Stuck in Ice Palace

I'm playing on the easiest setting but I cant beat the two necromancers in room 6, they let an ice golem out of a locked room while I'm fighting them and between them I always lose at least one man and I don't know if I can get him resurrected in here?
Can anyone suggest the best way to fight them?

Let's see if we can whittle this down to size.
Why are they so impossible? Are you having problems damaging the golem? Are the spells of the necromancers decimating your group? I'll see if I can help you by determining a strategy from whatever other information (concerning this battle) that you can provide.

When you are fighting the golem, what kind of attacks do you use? I think it was only bludgeoning attacks that worked for us (don't waste your spells). Have you tried long lasting area attacks on the mages into their room? One of my favorites is casting skull trap at their feet so it blows up on impact
If you can, summon as many creatures as possible.
I remember fighting them was such a pain in the butt!

Wipe out the necromancers quickly with individual damage spells (flame arrow, etc.) and buffed fighters. If they're still around and Vampiric Touching everyone when the golem shows up, you're usually toast.
A note on golems: most of them are immune to one form of damage or another. If they're resisting most of your damage, switch to a different damage type. If you remember which damage works against the different golem types, it'll make your life much easier.

Thanks all - have managed to kill them at last!!!
Just needed to change my attack strategy.

I'm curious, what was the problem with that fight? i gues you used the wrong weapons on the golem because i don't understand how those 2 necro's could cause any probs.
