When i went to find the imp in verdistis to tell him to join the council of 7, and met his friend telling me he is in a magic crystal and if i want to find him i'll have to go in there, thinking that it might be an imp trap i declined. after i realised that i should had gone in i went back to the imp to go in the crystal. Eventhough in the first conversation the imp told me to go speak to him when im ready, when ever i try to initiate dialogue he asks me what am i doing in his room and my only available reply is 'sorry wrong room'. Where is this cristal ball that i need to touch? how can i get to the imp ambassador?

That's odd--you should have the option to get the crystal, again. I assume you have a saved game file you can go back to, right before you rejected his offer.
If not, try Larian Studio's tech support forum. This is clearly a bug, and not one I've heard of, before. You do have the latest patch installed, correct?

I had the same problem with the imp and the crystal ball. For some time I hoped this would sort itself out, but then my savegame become (slowly) so corrupted that I could not continue playing. I deinstalled the game with disgust.
So, in a way, the problem did sort itself out, heh.

And did you detail the problem on Larian's tech board? What was their response?

Are you asking about the cristal ball, or the inability to play the game with my corrupted save?
Nevertheless, I have never received support from game developers, so I do not bother any more with that. Especially with serious cases like corrupted saves, where chances of a fix are close to 0.

I'm asking about the crystal ball. Whether you like Larian's tech support or not, that board is frequented by a huge number of players to both DD and BD. If anybody has a fix for something like that or knows whether one was ever provided, it's going to be up there.

I might have started asking about the crystal ball problem eventually, that's true. In the beginning I was not sure if it is a bug or a feature. But as I said, this particular problem became irrelevant when the my savegame become corrupted.

With this game, I saved constantly. There's no question that there are data corruption issues with the final product, but it so much more interesting and involving as a game than, say, Sacred or Dungeon Siege, that the effort was worth it.
