In the sewers under the copper coronette their is a room near the two skeletons where a Minotaur named madulf or something(maybe that's from the book i just read) appears fighting some mushroom creatures and saying how his friends died. Will someone explain what this is for please, I doubt it has any importance in the game but if anyone knows I am interested.

Thanks

As far as i know it has no other meaning in the game. I also wondered about it and checked all the Dialog.tlk files in the game for refs. about that guy and couldnt find any.

Madulf...but Madulf is the ogre-or-something-like-that-creature in Umar Hills, who offers to protect Imnesvale with his friends, right? I'm probably way off now Image But what if it's the same Madulf fighting those mushrooms? Don't know though, I never saw anyone in the mushroom-place.

I think the mushroom room is just some sort of "bonus room". No quest and nothing fancy to collect just a little fight.
The name of the minotaurus is of no importance.
Possible spoiler!

Has anyone else noticed that almost all the minor monsters are named Tazok/Tavok ??? or am I wrong. (The troll in the arnise keep and the guy with the shadelord that drops the key to the seewers) Maybe they just ran out of ideas for monsternames!!!

So it really wouldn't surprise me if the Minotaurus also was maned Madulf.

Tazok is one of the Monsters you face at the end of BG so he has relevance and i only remember meeting once.

Then you've missed one far more interesting meeting with him few chapters earlier.

Isn't Tazok one of the guards in the Windspear dungeon?

I allways wondered why I didn't get to kill him in BG1.

You get to kill Tazok at the end of BG1.

I think fantasy names just end up sounding the same.

Isn't the Troll's name Torgul or Torgak or something?

The "ogre power" guantlets used to be the hands of Takkok or something Image

There's only so many Madulf's/Magulf's/Magaluf's I can take Image

I was reffering to only meeting Tazok once in BG2.
